Hi
I think you should take out some of the weight of your hair at the bottom, by thinning it out, so that their is more movement in it.I would bring that wave in your hair out by layering, and bringing it up in the back.Kind of as if your hair were fuller at the roots and then the wave tapered off, if you know what I mean.

I tried winding my hair around the shaft of a ghd and it didnt work ... i am dying to get kinky waves or gorgeous soft curls.... please help !!!

I have curls..I guess I'm the last person to give advice on how to get straight hair to behave curly..but (there's allways a 'but' :D ) have you tried washing it and braiding it while it's damp, before you go to bed? you could spray it with a "setter" and that might give you that casual curly look.

I been thinking about this lately too.. my hair is brown but ive dyed it so much that is golden brown hint with a hint red in it, I don't know if that sounds right.

What will happen if i dye it blonde? Will it go a weird colour?

I think the red happens because of the toner in the hair colour has disappeared. I don’t think anything will go wrong if you dye it blonde, but maybe check with like the people selling you the hair colour or with the hairdresser.

By the way I think plenty of models do dye their hair, it’s just a matter of keeping it healthy by using the right products.

I think that braiding your hair and sleeping is a good advice. the curls that follow are very pretty and natural

Thanks Hanne and Urd .. can you recommend a good 'setter' for my hair for when I braid and sleep on it?

tinny braids would be harder to part again...try medium and large braids that would probably end up looking more natural. I don't use setters but whenever I have my hair put into a fancy hairdo at a salon they always use a setter..so I can't recommend any of the top of my head.

I have extremely dark brown (almost black) hair and have contemplated going blonde many times. Every single color consultation I've been to, they say the same thing: Start with highlights and gradually work your way up. Basically, massive amounts of blonde highlights instead of stripping. All over color is very unnatural looking anyway as your hair naturally has highlights.

The only fallback is it will be rather costly, but if you really want to go blonde, it seems like the best way. :flower:

Dyeing light hair darker

Recently I've been considering dyeing my fair hair a few shades darker. I've been very blonde since I was 14 or 15 and I'd like to do something different. I'd probably get my eyebrows tinted also in order to seem natural. I've got very light eyes that my friend is convinced will seem "striking" with darker hair. I've been inspired by Natasha Poly's recent trip to the dark side, and Rachel McAdams' everchanging hair color also. I'd like to hear horror stories if you have them... although I'm open to encouragement as well...

Shorter haircut

Sorry I couldn't do a research, because for some reason that doesn't work on my computer right now.

Anyway, back to the topic: I have blonde (not peroxide-blonde, natural blonde, kind of light "dirty blond") hair, and quite round face (not sure if it's square or round though). My hair is now a bit above my shoulderblades, and I've had it cut like that for years...And lately, I have had this crazy idea of cutting it shorter.I'd love to have a pixie-cut, or bit more longer version of it (not a mullet), or just some shorter cut that would suit me.Something feminine, and not too short. In my opinion, my "longer" hair drags my face down a bit.

I'm afraid that any shorter cuts don't suit my face.I'd like to ask your opinion about this,as many of you seem to have a really good taste in things like this.Be free to post pics, if you have them, that would be a great help!

Hi everybody,
i really need your help, I decided to radically change my hair style, I have dark brown hair and I want to make them shorter and blond...What do you think about it?Well I'll see what my hairdresser will say but I really want a shinny colour and I'm thinking about changing the colour of my eyebrow to fit the new color..

How shall I cut my hair? Helpppp!!

Hi, I'm going to be getting my hair cut soon and I'm so bored with it right now. Whenver I have it done I just ask to have it feathered and layered. I wondered if any of you have any ideas of what I could get done to it? Here's a photo of me (sorry it's not very clear, it's the only one I have at the moment). I dunno if you can tell from the photo, but my hair is very long. Any ideas would be so helpful, thank you!!

I think you have a very pretty face and eyes and you could get away with shorter hair, OR heavy bangs (fringe), or both...The bangs that frame your face, like are rounder than straight across.
