hello everyone .. i have a problem .. I CAN'T DEAL WITH MY HAIR IN THE HUMIDITY.. what should i do? my hair is just getting weirder .. normally it's stright to wavy .. now it's just frizzy and ugly .. i can't deal with it, any products i should use or any tricks ANYTHING plz help!

any one?!! please

A tip that I've learnt is to rinse your hair with cold water in the shower. As in, the last thing you do in that shower before you get out - turn off the hot water and let the cold water run through your hair. I tried it, and it really does help with taming tangles and frizziness!
Also, you could try going to bed with your hair slightly damp in a plait (or more) and then in the morning undo the plait, and you're left with waves that are generally shiny and smooth. Then you just tie it up, clip back a few stray hairs (not perfectly though, you want it to look the tiniest bit 'elegantly messy') and go. =D This works the same way, but instead of a simple ponytail, tie it up into a messy kind of bun. It'll make you cooler throughout the day, trust me, I find my waist-length hair SUCH a pain in the Australian summers.

Oh, and by ponytail/bun, I mean a high one. I find hair scratching my neck throughout the day bothering.

thank you very much i'll try that today.. and yeah my ponytail is always high :)

Thats horrible aout your haircut! Hope you get it fixed :flower:

I have the glue ins so I dont know about weave, but they last about 6 months, the cost depends on how much you want to add. The first time I just wanted to add about 3 inches so I did 2.5 bundles which was about 1200, after I got them out I got my hair cut and hated it, I wanted to add about 6-7 inches so they had to put 4 bundles in to make the trnasition look natural which was about $2000. It looks very natural IMO, no one knows the difference. The only thing is that unless you plan to style your hair everyday, the texture of the extentions has to match the texture of your own hair.

ohh thank you guessgirl!:flower: I feel so much more hopeful about saving my hair now:clap:

i love this type of hair..its adorable!! IMO, its slightly wavy/curly, shaggy, flips out around the ears, and is fun to run your fingers through. can't find a picture though..

check out pics of skaters or snowboarders...they usually pull off the shaggy style really well.

I'm super sick of it...an overwhelming majority of the guys can not pull this thing off..

^True

Shaggy is an hairstyle not an excuse to not shell out $15 for a haircut.:innocent:

Solution to Dull Brunette Hair?

My hair is naturally dark/medium brown (auburn can be seen in certain light), but I worry it looks flat and dull. I've noticed that blondes rarely have this problem as they get lowlights and highlights (a la Ashley Olsen) to add incredible depth. Can this be achieved with brunette hair? If so, what colors? I'm desperate for that look without making it look to obvious or unnatural...any ideas? :flower: (ps. Unless I use self tanner I have fair skin...and blue eyes)

well im new her lol its my first post yay lol anayway i have dark brown hair too n i got it tinted so it looks kinda lighter and more coppery when theres tons of light+ you dun hafta be a blonde to get low lights you cant get them anyway how abt these sorta colours (copper/bronze)

fabulyss, great question as it'll apply to many others!

dewycoconuts, have you ever "tinted" your hair at home? I too haven't done much to my natural brown hair and am curious as to what i'd say exactly to a hair dresser to have my hair look like that.

here's a pix of my dull hair. I'm not looking to do something completely outrageous but the idea of having multiple pieces of hair colored doesn't seem too dangerous a step.

my hair goes dull and my usual solution was to dye it back to a dark chocolate brown but then this would fade:doh:

but a great solution is those shampoos and conditioners formulated especially for your hair type i.e. brunette. they give your hair a gorgeous shine to your original colour! quite a few people have commented on my hair since i have started using them^_^

i know john frieda does these type of shampoos conditioners, but i use sun silks own version which work just as well:heart:

just a different alternative if you didnt want to dye your hair:flower:

oona i just got one of those semi-permanent hair dyes i think it was the garnier one in golden brown n then i had my hair dresser foil some bits a coppery colour n did some at home using that loreal feria thing!! lol i kno it sounds like tons of random things but im happy with the results!! id post a pic but this is my work computer so i dun have any!!

oh n btw u have really nice hair its soo NOT dull infact its one of the most vibrant natural browns ive seen in ages!! but if you want some pieces a different colour auburn or copper would look awesome

blah im pretty plain
i have long dark hair part slight off middle
have roundish face
i want a change!
but dont really know what looks good
i usually have my hair down i like it close to my face so it wouldnt look so round
i like a bang but my foreheads pretty short
what to doo??

Hair color brand recommendations?

I've been thinking lately that I wanna change my bottle auburn hair to a darker caramel brown. I had really good results with revlon colorsilk color, but unfortunately they don't see a caramel brown color. Can anyone give me a brand that's gentle on the hair and provides a variety of shades (like caramel brown?) thanks a lot!
