Style My Hair

^ agreed.. plus it looks like you're a cooler brunette, which i love. i'm a warm brunette and i hate it! i tell them to dump pure ash in my hair all the time to cancel out the warmth...

If anyone has suggestions of sites to check out instead of actual cut suggestions, that would be great, too. I like the ukhairdressers.com site, but another resource that has a bunch of cuts would be great.

Does anyone know any good hairstyles for men with curly hair? Thanks :).

How to go about hairstyle

I am a guy with long hair. Currenlty I sport the same haircut I've had for like 4 years. Its a rather dull parted down the middle "square" cut with two bangs running down my face. It really makes me look "dark."(you know like those "confused","cool"rockstars.) It's decent, people really like it or hate it.It's understandable; I am not going to judge someones prespective.

It's totally my style and something I wear because a)I have ALOT of hair and b)It is soooooooooooo straight if I were to try to do ANYTHING with short hair (most styles) it would fall flat FAST.So I could either have it PRETTY long or "kiwi" short.NO IN BETWEEN at all.My "round" face doesn't allow that.

Drama queen I am and
For all those reasons, it is SO hard to find a decent hair style.

Being the fashion wh*re I am, like all of you, I do feel variety is the spice of life.^_^

So I am here to ask two things.

1.)Where in the world would I find a stylist capable of doing this?*link of picture below this paragraph*By "the world":innocent: I mean what kind of salon would do something like this?
Like what guidelines can I follow? Go to one of those "emo,""scene," stylist; or a high end really acclaimed stylist? I am ready to move out of the place my mom goes. It is good for my wallet , but I don't think they can do it.

I know I can comb it that way. The texture of my hair is JUST like it. Blow dryer, straight Iron, and lots of hair products. I think I can pull it off.

oh and second question

Any other cool dramatic hairstyles for guys you guys know of?

My style is very self expressive. I am a straight guy a Little TOO MUCH in touch with my feminine side:blush: who LOVES going to music giggs of all kinds ,obsessed with fashion(obviously) and I am a performance artist.Really "rocker" looking.

ANY help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you.^_^

That style is pretty badass.

Unfortunately, he is a head full of extensions.
But alas, that hairstyle is fairly easily attainable...

For the whole do' (colour and all) I would recommend going to a salon.
If you just want to know how to get the basic style and shape. I would be more then happy to help.

Possibly post a picture of your current hair?

Anyone have any tips for vacation hair?
I'm going to Cuba on Saturday, and my curly hair is gonna freak out as soon as I step off the plane.

Any tips to beat humidity?

can someone tell me how to backcomb hair to make it look more buff?

Pull your hair up with a comb, keep holding it up with your hand, and take the comb, and "backcomb" it. Really briskly, run the comb downwards along the hair that you are holding up with your hand, but do it over and over, really fast - and do it underneath your hair, not over top. Do it, to create more volume at the crown of your head....

Does that make any sense???

i also really love this hairstyle (from the amelia warner thread)

I want different hair. BOLD!

Ok I need help. I want a different style, cut, and color.

My hair now is halfway down my back, redish/brown and curly. I straighten it about every 2 weeks.

I want a mainstream cut but I don't know what would suite my face. I think I have an oval face. I want side bangs.

For color I want something bold. Colors: black, blonde, red, brown. I was thinking a base of brown with thick adn thin highlights? IDK.

Grr can someone give me some ideas.

I know it's lame but I kinda like the emo haircuts. Where it's kinda longer in front and spikey in the back but sincemy hair is curly I don't think it would work.

Could someone post up some pics or give me some ideas cause I'm out.
Here's a picture of a hairstyle and color I like from BMEZINE.com and the second picture is me with my hair straight recently.

How can I create this hairstyle?

I'm going to a fancy dress shindig on monday and I need to get my shoulder-length hair into a huge afro:shock: Maybe something like this from D&G FW05:

style.com

How and what products/equipments do I use to get my hair standing up and looking that .... rough:shock: and most importantly, how can I get my hair to stay that way? Thanks in advance.

I forgot to say that I'm asian with that typical straight asian hair and it doesn't hold styles very well (or I've just never found the right product  )

hmmmm....i'm no expert but i think u will need:
-volumising mousse
-hair spray
-a comb to tease up the hair
-rollers/curling tong

Hey, I'm not sure how resilient your hair is (being asian) but this is what I'd try: wash hair (don't condition if you can get away with it), towel dry, then add some strong mousse/gel (hair should still be quite damp) and roll it around pipecleaners (you know that bendy stuff) or small rolls of aluminium foil (the thinner the rolls, the better). The smaller sections of hair you do, the tighter the curl. It will take a while if your hair is thick so you might want to get a friend to help.

Once you've done that, wait for your hair to dry (it has to be COMPLETELY dry before you take the foils out!). Then , take off the foils, trying not to comb through the hair with your hands too much. If it's not frizzy enough, break the curls a bit by mussing with your fingers. Bend down and spray from underneath all over your hair with a good hairspray (Ellnett works for me..).

Even if your hair starts with being way too big DO NOT try to comb out the curls, they will go flatter anyway after a while.

Word of warning though: if your hair tends to be on the dry side, it may end up looking more frizzy than curly, combat this with putting on some moisturising styling product before you curl.

Haircut. Go to it or possibly biggest mistake of 2006? (for me anyway)

I'm thinking about getting my hair cut and I'm normally quite good at choosing a style, but I'm actually thinking about getting my already short hair cut shorter, so need anonymous feedback, which will be totally honest (totally...not brutally)

This is what I'm thinking...obviously I won't be in soft focus my whole life so it'll look a little diff.

BUT this is me right now. And I know I look pretty blank but it was New Year's and I wasn't quite errr normal. And it's the most recent one I have showing my hair length now. It normally looks better than that:blush:
So far some think that possibly my face won't be able to handle such short hair and the fact that her hair is a completely diff shade to mine will change it too.

Jesus...Be kind.
