Style My Hair

Hey there I'm really considering chopping of my hair into something like these:

This is the length of my hair currently:

I'm in a real pickle, I have no clue if I should keep growing it out (I didn't feel like it was growing but I saw a picture of me just from october and it's grown like an inch.) or if I should take a chance and go pretty short. I'm also thinking of letting my dye fade out (even when using permanent dye my hair starts to fades in less than 2 months.)

Thats the only picture i have thats closest to my natural hair color. I'm a natural dark dirty strawberry blond.

If I do go short I want some really sleek yet wispy, kinda like Freja hair before she cut it even shorter but keeping my fringe.

Sorry for such a long post! So what do you guys think?

girls, I have a question, do you think that I will look good with a straight, long bang? (like Irina L has...).... I look like that right now:

my bangs are separated weird in this pic, they're usually full across. i want just a trim but i don't know what would look good.

Time for a changeeeee:

I'm trying to grow my hair out, but I wouldn't mind cutting it short again. You can't really see, but I've got long bangs that I tend to put up nowadays. I really enjoy my bangs, though, they've just become a bit of a hassle.
I'm also contemplating dyeing/highlighting. Any suggestions for a cut or dye job?

I need help guys!

I dyed my hair Jet Black a few months back. The black dye came off, now it's more of a Dark Brown. I want to dye my hair Golden Brown. Is it safe to dye it?

I was told that it might turn out red :cry: so I'm a little scared.

Hey guys! I've lurked on these boards for a long time but this is my first post. I have fine, wavy/curly, light to medium brown hair with a serious tendency to frizz. A few months ago I got it cut slightly past shoulder length with no layers, only a few short pieces around the face, because the woman who did it said that the layers I had made my fine hair look stringy. It looked great then but it's grown out since and now it looks awful, bedraggled and pyramid-y. I want something with more volume, that will be flattering for longer, and also something new and exciting! But still pretty low-maintenance. Attached are some pictures of me and how bad my current hairstyle quickly gets to look when I don't keep fixing it every five minutes! Any thoughts?

^You need layers. Your hair is flat on top because it's being weighed down by the length, and big in the bottom because it isn't cut in layers and the ends are starting to split. Trust me, I know :ninja: You need slight layers though, no big difference in the length of your hair.

PS. You look A LOT like Rachel Bilson :D

Help!!

Ok. I need help with my hair. I had this picture taken with my friend last week and I saw it yesterday and was horrified. My hair just hangs there. I need a major change. I think it's too long, but I'm not sure...

I've been growing it out for a long time (it's mid back length) and also growing out my fringe (just about at my jaw bone now) I have some layers. It is naturally curly and I'm told on the thin side. I've always been afraid of a shorter hairstyle because my face is round.

Please help! Any pictures of what I should do would be really helpful. I have also considered chemical hair straightening but I'm not sure if it would just make my face look even more round...

^I have a round face also. I think you would look good with side swept bangs (if you own a flat iron that would work). Try getting your hair cut to about a little bit past shoulder-length, add some more layers, and try diffusing your hair to enhance the curls and waves. Never chemically straighten your hair. Also, never do center parts if you have a round face. It makes it look rounder and isn't really all that flattering in general

i think i have a round face...it may be a bit heartish too but the center part looks good on me. it depends on the person really.

I have virgin hair. I tried self-dying it once and I didn't get a hint of color on me because my original hair color is black. Do you think there's anyway a salon professional can dye my hair brown without bleaching my hair first.

^ it really depends. its hard to say but you should check out a few salons and hairdressers first, just walk-in and do a consultation without appt. it'll only take a few minutes or so to ask questions, if you dont like them then you can just leave whenever! lol that way you arent stuck in their chair and dont feel like you have to let them work on your hair if you dont trust them completely or if you think they dont know what they are doing.

virgin hair is supposed to be easier to dye. but it depends on how stubborn your black hair is. like depending on the texture, if its thinner it will probably be easier to dye but it maybe also be more sensitive. thicker, more stubborn but could be stronger or end up more fried, its hard to say. i dont think you need to bleach before you dye esp on virgin hair. i have dark brown hair but ive never needed to bleach first...and neither has anyone i know.

edit : ive only ever used bleach on my hair when going blonde.

Hi everybody! I've had long hair for the past few years and, inspired by Freja and tired of being weighed down, I chopped it off myself yesterday (like 6 or 7 inches!). Since I'm no hairstylist, it's all just one blunt layer ... I want to go to a salon to get it finished, or to make it shorter or more styled. Want your opinions on what to do with it now. Thanks for any advice!

Now my hair is a bit longer than on the left (and less yellow-blonde). I kind of want to cut it like Freja:

[but I also always want to grow it out and dye it Jessica Joffe red and wear a ponytail over my shoulder lol...or have Claudia Schiffer boudoir hair!]

Thoughts???

In reply to amberandrea, I'm so glad that someone else has my hair! I've been searching for someone who does! It's like I can never be in categories with the wavy so I never know where to place my hair hahah.
