Supermodel Challenge Game Season 4 - Paint by Numbers.

Thankyou to everyone for your very kind comments on my entry!:flower::blush:

Snejana Onopka and Buster Keaton in sync...

"I asked (Keaton) how he did all those falls, and he said, 'I'll show you'.
He opened his jacket and he was all bruised.
So that's how he did it - it hurt - but you had to care enough not to care."

Tornado

Round and round, tornadoes go
Natural disasters are like tornadoes
Duck your head, objects fly
Don't go outside!

Great entries everyone!

These must be the toughest to judge, when there is no set topic and everyone is so creative

Reviews :D

Sophie and Raquel- JR, I think your source for inspiration was good in the entry for Sophie but I feel like both pictures are too similar. That doesn't mean both pictures are terrible, in fact they are fabulous pictures!, but I wish you could have found a picture of Sophie looking similar to Marlene but not in the exact same pose. With the Raquel entry, I feel the same way but I am really not all that fond of you using Pam Anderson as an inspiration... she's just kind of trashy.

Jessica Stam- Again, another perfect match in terms of costume, pose, etc with both pictures. While the picture of Stam is really magnificent and powerful I just feel like everything is far too similar here...I would have loved it if there was a similar picture of Stam in the same editorial but posed differently because she looks too similar to Liza.

Natalia- Both pictures are a perfect match, but in all honesty I am a little turned off by your entry. The pictures of Natalia and Barbie are a bit.... scary :ninja: Natalia has shot so many more interesting editorial work than what's exemplified here in this picture and I feel like the Barbie reference is a bit uninspired also.

Elise- I can definitely see where you were going with this, but I feel like your intrepretation of it is a little too literal. In both pictures, there is really similar Native American dress and the poses are almost identical. I know Elise's portfolio pretty well and I definitely think there were other pictures you could have used in this challenge for a more successful entry.

Polina- I wasn't expecting this at all and this is so wonderfully suprising! I love how you parlayed the visual intrigue of something so architectuarlly amazing into this picture of Polina. Besides the back of her dress which matches the first picture, there is a feeling of harshness in Polina's face...I just love how you drew upon industrialism and magnificient architecture as your inspiration...this is a truly great entry, rachyroo.

Gemma- The picture of Gemma is so butterfly-like and beautiful and painterly but I am really let down by your source of inspiration. The butterfly inspiration is wonderful but I feel like the picture of some random little kid is just a bit odd and not entirely in place here...I would have much rather prefer if you showed a picture of a real butterfly!

Coco- This is definitely very interesting. I think that the dress in both pictures is a bit too similar but I love how Coco is holding an action figure in the second picture... it makes it kind of like a modern, "internet-age" interpretation of Vermeer.

Hilary- This is so creative, Mettchen! I think it's so cool how you kind of drew upon the whole Kid Robot Japanese toy scene and found a picture of Hilary that is similar to one of those dolls. I love this entry because the translation between both images is obvious but not copying the first image and how unexpected your inspiration was. I also love how both the toy and Hilary's hair are blue. Bravo, this is some fabulous work!

Sasha- I think both of your pictures match quite well but in a way to me this seems more like Sasha is emulating a style of dress than a person, a place, an object or a type of personality. The silhoulettes from the 1920s-1940s' are in fashion right now so this doesn't seem like an incredibly inspired entry to me.

Iekeliene- Now how cool is this! Iggy Pop is just a great musician with so much raw energy on stage [size=-3]not that i've seen him play, anyone want to offer me some tickets?. :P :innocent:
and in this picture you've totally managed to capture it. Even though I wish I could see more of Iek's face I think you did a great job here.

Vlada- Aside from the crazy doll costume, Vlada really looks like the corpse bride in her facial expression and posing and the mood of the picture really adds to this. I love the purple colors in the picture and how Vlada looks like a wax puppet here...nice work!

Alek- Like a tornado, there is certainly a lot going on here. I see how the shape of the dress and the craziness in the photo resembles a tornado but in a way I think it would have been an even better entry if Alek's face somehow wasn't so happy?

Snejana- Wow, this is so creative of you! I'm actually taking a class at school on mime and we're studying Buster Keaton, but I never thought his images could translate into and inspire fashion photography. The colors, the pose, everything is pretty much a perfect match.
