Hey there, I can't seem to be able to see the pictures :(

fashionistangeL - Try Ebay, they have quite a few! I've just bought a 12mm red pair, and a 25mm black pair from the bay. I'll let you know how they hold up when I get them!

Kind regards,
Max.

ohh yes!! i would like to know!! thanks a lot!! :flower:

Well my suspenders arrived today! I bought one pair of red 12mm ones and 25mm black ones, both elastic with silver fastenings. I am very very pleased with both, and will be buying some more soon!! Cost, shipping and packaging were all excellent. I'm not too sure if it is allowed to post ebay sellers but ill do it anyway and then can take it out if mods want me too. Anyway here is the link ... http://search.ebay.co.uk/_W0QQsassZmocka1852QQhtZ-1

Hope that is helpful to some of you!

rgds,
Max.

Trying to think of a fun way to use my new black suspenders I just got. Any suggestions. I have a funky style and I try just about anything.:D

Heads up to anyone in the UK...there is an article on braces in todays Indipendent "The Sunday Review"...i'll scan it in a little later for anyone interested.

regards,
Max.

Wow, they look great on guys (and some girls). Very interessting! But I couldn't wear it, i think it's just not my style.

I love how in the UK they are called braces. I just think that's such a cute name for them! Sounds better than suspenders. :p

Ok here is the article, please excuse my terrible scanning job, it’s a cheapo scanner and I never use it, im also not too great at photoshop! The whole page didn’t fit onto the scanner so I had to do it in two parts, but each time I tried to scan the second half my computer crashed  so I had to do it on a lower quality. Anyway, here it is, not even a particularly interesting article but relevant none the less!

grrrr, for some reason the image has gone all small so you can't read the text, I’ll write up though...

"Trouser waist heights are on the move, or so we're told. But despite the insistence that hipsters are out, low-slung trousers are proving to be a tough trend to replace. So to contend with the hazards of low trousers - namely exposed Y-fronts, G-strings and bottoms - braces have slowly crept back into fashion. Worn with a neat, fitted shirt and trousers, they give your look a punk/mod edge. Meanwhile those who like to let it all hang out can enhance the low line of their trousers even further by wearing their braces off the shoulder and hanging about their legs.

Although they had their heyday in the 1940's braces have reappeared as a trendy accessory every decade since. They date back to the French Revolution. Originally created in silk or satin, they were often personalised and incredibly ornate. Debussy's braces were decorated with floral patters, Napoleon's featured his personal bee insignia, and Franklin D Roosevelt had a pair bearing flags and eagles.

This year, understated black, navy or burgundy seem to be most popular. Burton (Tel: 0845 121 4514) and Paul Smith (tel: 020 7379 7133) both sell an elegant selection while Topshop (Tel: 0845 121 4519) stock a more feminine pair. Those who prefer something more adventurous should check out the imaginative range at www.albertthurston.com - the company also offer a bespoke service. Brace yourself for a snappy summer."
