and im seventy six i would not care to be honest .. im not really a shallow person and also i would have lived my live i would be past caring.

^ Me too!!... And old people have more important things to think about than their wrinkly tatts...
like taking your meds and not breaking a hip:doh: ....

Joking aside, I think things like wrinkles and looks become less important over time...
and I for one would love to see reminents of my youthfull wild days on my old wrinkly bod.:p

Now that I am finally 18, I can legally take the plunge I have been waiting for.

I walked into 40 tattoo shops since Nov 12, my b-day and have not gotten inked yet.

Yes, I'm picky about artists, but also I am a total chicken and basically need someone to pull me by a leash and sit me down. After the first line I'll pretty much be fine. It takes me forever to get into chairs to get a piercing too.

I will start with the first lotus of my backpiece. Maybe I'll do each lotus by a different artist. I plan for each to be different since each one surrounding the phoenix represent a person who is dead. I want them to be as individual as they are and maybe somehow through the colors or something tie into who the person is.

Anyone care to push me into a tattoo shop and sit my **** down for the right shoulder lotus? It's a tfs bonding experience.

yeah i agree.. maybe no one is doing anything towards tattoo removal but skin technology is advancing and people will be doing alot of research into THAT and its along similar lines. Personally i dont regret things like that and if i get a tattoo it'll mean something to me..and i cant predict the future but i'm SURE in 56 years time they will have something to get rid of the tattoo if i wanted to...

I wouldnt care at 76 either.. there are more important things in life to worry about then having a tattoo... So why not just do it and get one? Live each day like you're going to die tomorrow

god i remember talking about this with you ages ago^_^

i would happly take you but im in the wrong place:(

i like the thought of getting all the bits done by different artists it would be so individual.

Hope my advice helped Jade. Paul is phenomenal. I can't believe his work. For anyone else who needs a tattooist in LA, Paul at Sunset Strip Tattoos did me a great job. In London... hmm. Will get back to you. I had an awful job (twice -they tried to fix it and made it worse) at Metalmorphosis in Soho/Selfridges but after I threatened a lawsuit, they are removing it for me. The employ some awful artists who not only are bad, but they are all French with bad English which isn't ideal in a job where communication is so key. It is the Libertines one I want removed anyway because I am so over the band, but the work is so bad, even if I liked the band, I would probably remove it and put it back on anyway. Still, they are flying me to their Dublin studios about three/four times to remove it. I have never been to Ireland before and I have been dying to :brows:

Well guys, the time has come to get another tattoo. In the past 6 months I've had two, which I NEVER EVER thought I would even get one. But you know. . .
I have a lyric from my favorite band that I want BUT I don't know how and where I want it done. Someone suggest getting the lyric in a swirl pattern. That's the best I've heard thus far.
Any suggestions???

i know someone whos got the guitar cords with the words written underneath it looks nice.

on another note i went into the tattoo shop today with the design i wanted and they said it would be £50 i dont have that much disposible cash at the moment i have to think about the electric and gas money:rolleyes:

but atleast it gives me a ball park and a chance to save up or be fickle change my mind and spend the money on a pair of shoes instead:lol:

what you do is get a money box and put any extra cash in there, its a good insentive if you have something you're thinking of getting :D

i really really reallllyyyy want a tattoo, but im torn because i want it to be really meaningful and represent something i stand for, its very hard for me to decide not only what kind of tattoo but also where to place it. hmm, decisions decisions..

I've always wanted a tatoo...but I'm so scared that I'm going to get tired of it and not want it anymore.

Ok thanks for explaining!^_^

I  the virgin suicides !! But I wouldn't go this far...(from the cobrasnake.com)

Wow I love theVS too and I love the tattoo ! I wouldn't put it in my chest though but if it was smaller and somewhere else... ^_^ Thanks for the pic! Veeery cool

This thread reminds me of the time when my ex got my name tattoed onto his arm after having only been out with me for a month. I was not best pleased.

I dont like the majority of tattoos my friend has one on his chest which he designed, which looks good. I wouldnt ever have a tattoo, i get bored of things too quickly, and i know i would end up not liking it.

If you already think you might get tired of it, chances are you will.

My cousin has the most beautiful tattoos...
he has some sort of gargoyle thing over his heart ( meant to protect)...
(He'll kill me 'cause I can't remember the darn thing's real name)
and a koi fish on his forearm.
They are gorgeous! So much color and on nice parts of his body...
I didn't have a camera at the moment but told him I need pics for this thread.

my friend got her tattoo artist boyfriend to do a tatt on her foot ... so you would think she would b more relaxed because its her fella doing it but no .. she said it hurt so much ... this girl has sleeves and all across her chest done and she said the foot hurt the most by a long way..... well anyways she pulled away and her slipped with the needle cos she flinched so much and she ended up with a line tattooed right across her foot, and a rather shakey unfinished skull.
