Tattoos

^^ Wow. I wonder what went wrong with your tattoo. I hope it doesn't hurt!

No, not at all.

I just got to figure out some art that I would like to cover it with.

I have a white one on the inside of my wrist. . .
There really isn't that much info out there, since they aren't popular. I tried to find stuff too but I gave up and just got one. I got mine for my best friend that was killed so I didn't want everyone to see it, just those I chose to tell. So, that's why I chose white because they don't show up. Depending on if I'm tan or burnt, sometimes it looks like a branding. Most of the time though, you can't see it.
Anything else just ask.

Thanks for answering :flower:
me too, I want one because I don't want everybody to see it...
and as not so many people have white tattoos it's more original than a regular one imo!
I was also wondering do they stay for life like others tattos or they fade with time??

^No problem. . .
The guy who did mine said sometimes the fade, but there will be an outline of the tattoo so you still know it's there. If mine fades, i'll probably go back and get it done again.

here's my butterfly-woman
Got it three years ago as a b'dy treat to myself.

^^ Gorgeous, I want to get a star where my shin meets my foot ever since I saw it on CSI... I find it so intriguing and sexy!

I want a black five-spiked star. I'm scared my mom will ground me if I get it though...

Ive decided to do an angel to cover up the merman.

I didnt want a religious looking angel, but something modern looking. I wish I knew someone who could draw really well. Id like it to look a bit like more, but dressed up with wings. LOL!!

I think I might get something from Angel Sanctuary (the Manga series)

Im going to go to Hart & Huntingon next week and get a quote and see if they can cover this.

i got a star on my right wrist for myself for my 21st a few weeks ago. I love it though it has got imperfections. Next one is an eye of horus on the left wrist

^ Looks great! Good coverup.... I cant even see the Merman under. Some coverups you could still see it..

My future stepsister recently went and got a massive tribal tattoo on her shoulder... the whole time during lunch a few days ago, all I could think of was, "Man is she going to regret that when she turns fifty!"

My mother was in shock- and told me that I wasn't ever getting one. Ever. Part of me thinks a kanji or Chinese sign on the wrist could be cute; part of me thinks I would hate myself for getting it afterwards.

well KhaoticKharma:

(no offense what so ever)
If you still need to ask for mommy's approval to get a tattoo, you shouldn't be getting one in the first place.

and two, if you think your gonna hate it. Then you regret it already.

Kanji/Hanzi tattoos are the most unoriginal and ugly things you can put on your skin. They're down there with the tribal lower back tramp stamp! Do yourself a favor and get something meaningful.

I am, in fact, too young. But this is the woman who will be putting me through college, and in years to come I will more than likely need her help on various things. If I go against her will and become a marked woman- well, I can consider myself disowned.

Unoriginial, yes, but unlike a picture I find them less vulgar, and unlike stars I find them less of a mark of a teenage/early twenties girl.

But I won't get a tattoo. I'm not the type of girl to have a tat- at all.

Oh you lucky girl, litchickuk! I really want one of my shin... but I know I just can't. :ninja: I'm definitely not that type of person to get a tattoo...

I have 5 tattoos: i got a tribal on my ankle, a tribal at my belly button, a tribal at my lower back (I swear, when I got, it nobody had one :-)!!!!) a tribal a little lower in the neck part followed by my husbands name. I was never a person who wanted a name tat, but after him surviving Iraque twice and me a really bad car accident, we decided to do our names. I can cover them up or show them if I want. And I work at a law firm...so a lot of people are surprised that I have tattoos, couse I never show them and walk around in Business cloth a lot.
I think it is important that the tats match in style and you can cover them up.

I find some of the comments about not being the kind of person to get a tattoo are quite interesting. I don't have one myself but just was wondering what people thought makes a person the kind of person to get a tattoo? (if that makes sense.)
Stereotypically, tattoos are associated with rocker types aren't they, but I don't think this is true anymore. What does everyone else think?

^ Personally, I associate them with young and free sorts, be it hip hop, rock and roll or even rich party girls.

I'm much more of a traditional girl, and I couldn't really see one going with my style.

I think the tattoo angelina jolie has on her lower belly, you know with the cross and 'quot me nutruit, me destruit'.
i love it because it has this meaning, that i can relate with so well. i've been having the feeling (maybe angelina has other feeling with it) that what nourishes me, destroys me since i was 11. so the words are very strong an beautiful for me.

though i dislike most tattoo (you know, the tiny stars, butterfy and (don't even get me started on this) dolphins on shoulders and stuff. i like some tattoo's. (for women I like lower back and lower stomach tattoo's if they have a nice/deep meaning) and for guys i don't mind tattoo's, but for some reason i dislike tattoo's on (upper)legs. and one condition a tattoo really should have for me, is that it's black. couloured tattoo's seem childish and tacky too me.

ps.
if i offend anyone, which i hope i don't, i'm sorry.
