Tattoos

Who is the model with a little coat hanger tattooed onto the back of her neck?

I've always thought that was so clever and unique.. but only fitting for a model..

Thanks Iana - I have done a lot of research and I too have heard that they are way over priced, so I am looking into other artists in the area as well. At H&H they told us it was a minimum of $150 to get work done...I was like . I also heard that they are rude but they were so nice and very helpful as well - but they did say it was the slow season so maybe thats why they spent so much time with us.

What's the average price for a small tattoo anyway? (This would be my first if I go through with it)

I am going home to MD for X-mas and if I make it to Georgetown I will check out Jinx Proof again...I have known the owners for a long time, so I know I would feel comfortable with one of them working on me.

Did Jason do your Koi fish coverup? (Yes, I went that far back in the thread ) That is a gorgeous gorgeous tatt!! I will definately be looking into that shop.

I love Jinx Proof, although overpriced, I continue to go there.

i'm sixteen, and i have one tattoo.
i had wanted one for the longest time, but didn't get one cause i didn't want to just get something random and impulsive.
the one i have now is on the back of my neck and it's the japanese symbols (i'm half japanese) for 'little sister'. my sister came up with the idea, and we all (her, my two brothers and myself) got ones done (older sister, younger brother, older brother)

annnd i love it (:
i want more, but again i want something that actually has meaning ..so i think it'll be a long while before i get anything else.

I've just one small tattoo. It's a tiny little heart on the inside of my ring finger. Me and my old boyfriend got them done together. Even still, I dont regret it.

^ Aw, that's good. I got a "matching" (a puzzle piece, he got one that fit with mine when we put them together) tattoo with an ex. I thought when we first broke up I'd get it covered but now I would never. It helped, actually, when we broke up (we were together for awhile) and reminds me of how much I've learned because of it. I'm glad I'm not alone in regretting "matching" tattoos.
:flower:

^^Roxy, I LOVE your tattoo!!

I have been waiting to get one because I am very undecided on what i want. I too want a small one on my wrist, but I can't decide what exactly I want. I love small, cursive writing or maybe a peace sign. Whenever I choose, I just want it to mean something.

Does yours have a meaning behind it?

do not get a tattoo just because you want something inked on your body or because a celeb you like has one.
if something is important to you, then it's acceptable to get it tattooed. an adage or maybe a picture of something.
but don't get some words in a language you don't know or a little flower just because you want a tattoo.

Thanks for the advice, lunabella. I fully agree!:flower:

One way to know if a certain design/picture/script tattoo is for you is to take a picture/printout/image of the design you want and put it up in several places around your house or office or even your car, so that you have to look at that picture every single day.

If you get sick of that picture it's probably a bad idea to get it inked permanently into your skin.

I dont think it hurts.

I took about 4 hours to do the one on my arm, its irritating at some places but doesnt really hurt.
And the one above my ankle, i didnt feel anything:p

i had my 1st laser session this week to take off the three chinese tattoos i have on my arm +a tiny tattoo of a happy face mask i have on my ankle.
the ankle one is almost gone but the 3 others are still obvious but starting to empty up from the inside.
doc said i need about 3 more sessions

i ve had these tattoos for 10 yrs and trust me, unless you ve really gave it a good thought DO NOT DO IT.
people change over the years and your mentality and lifestyle as well.
now that i'm married i don't really see myself picking my son or daughter from school with a tattooed arm!!!! :innocent:

I finally got mine done saturday, after 2 years of knowing exactly what i wanted.
I finally did it, and its more amazing than I ever expected.:heart:

Missivtec22, that is AMAZING!

I'd love another tat... got one only about a month ago, too. No idea where I'd put it though, hmm...

i´m not a big fan of small tattoos.
so i have a tattoo on my whole back, wings in a abstract way. and cherries on my left leg, and i want to have an other one on my whole right bag.
in a few days i will perhaps post a pic from my beloved tattoos..

missi - i love your new tattoo, it really is a beautiful peice. Does it have a meaning to you?

I like your nailpolish color too.
