Tattoos

^ First few days wash your hair with your head pointing down so you can be precise about not touching your new tattoo so much with soap. Also my friend put saran wrap around it during her shower. She just cleaned it like any other tattoo and pulled her hair back a little bit to let it breathe and not get so much hair oil on it.

^I really adore that! Can we have pictures?

I have an idea I've been playing around with in my head for a few weeks: Pharmakon is a Greek word which means medicine, cure, and poison. I got the idea from reading some Derrida. I would like to get the letters in ancient Greek on my wrist. Does anybody have any tips for finding someone who is well versed in foreign calligraphy? I don't want them looking too Sorority-Sister either :p

i have a tattoo on the back of my neck, very small :)

i'm getting another one as soon as I can afford it!

I bought that Audrey pic a year ago. Its in my living room. Ive been thinking about this tattoo since then. LOL.

Its still healing, so when its all cleared up I will post pics of my last two tattoos.

Im already thinking of other things.:p

What does it mean?...where did she get it? Tales From the Press

From an interview by Louis B. Hobson of the Calgary Sun, Sunday, January 26, 1997:

Mirren warns that people shouldn't confuse her with the stately and staid characters she often plays. "I've always been a bit of a wild thing and have the scars to prove it."

One such scar is the tattoo between the thumb and forefinger of her right hand.

"It go there when I was in my 20s. I was visiting this Native American reservation in Minnesota, I got very drunk on brandy and woke up with it the next day. I haven't had it removed because it's a reminder that I was sometimes a bad girl in the past."

(Apparently Hobson doesn't know right from left. The tattoo is on her left hand!)

Here is another pic of it from vanishingtattoo.com:

I have been thinking about a tattoo for my foot for almost two years now and would like some outside opinions because I'm having trouble narrowing it down. One option is a feather design. I wanted an ostrich feather but for aesthetic reasons I think I'd do a more generic feather.

The other option is a design of willow branch, leaves, maybe some blossoms. Both are meaningful to me and have symbolism of relatively the same things which I don't feel the need to explain here. Placement would be around the inside or outside of a foot and maybe to above the toes. WHich do you guys think would look/work better? Of course I've thought about these a long time so I will ultimately make my own decision, I just want to hear other opinions. TIA :flower:

Examples of images (but I would either redrawn my own or have an artist redraw it):

Pic' courtesy of amazing creations.

I think both are fantastic ideas. How about one of each, on each foot?
If only one:
Personally i would get colored, (If your having color tat's) designs that your happy with, drawn, and choose from there.

After seeing missivtec's peacock feather, I would say get a feather. I think both are elegant though.

Here are the latest two I have gotten. I think Im getting another one for my Bday in April.
