Tattoos

Here ya go. It was a cover up. Under there is a really bad tattoo. LOL

This poem in spanish is lovely :)
It is! I didn't get it in the Spanish because I was afraid I'd stuff up the translation and look like one of those knobs with a Chinese symbol they think means 'strength' and really means something like, 'idiot' or whatever.

Ianastar, I think I've seen your tattoo before in this thread, no? ^_^
Probably:lol:

I covered a merman that was done hideously and very faded. I wanted to redo it but no one would touch it up, because they didnt want to fix someone elses work. So my option was to cover it up. I thought about it for like 4 years and decided a koi was best.

I want to get another tattoo...I love the oriental ones. Im still deciding on what I want though. I was thinking of getting a red cherry blossom on the back one on each side with a chinese symbol that says peace and the other side love. Then adding some swirlies to make it look like I have wings....but im not sure I keep imagining it on me and it doesnt look right, I should get it drawn so I can get a better idea. hmmm

But all those tattoos above are gorgeous!

I'm thinking about something like that. Only smaller.^_^ I really like the place.

I'm still looking for more infos (where to do it), but I'm so excited!:woot:

I really want to get my daughter's name scripted on my wrist... I love Lily Donaldson's wrist tattoo, and was kind of inspired by hers. But I'm not sure if I should get it facing me or facing away. A friend of mine got a wrist tattoo and was told to get it facing away from her, so people could read it, but because it's so personal, I kind of want it to be facing me... Hmm.

belowen i was just wondering the same thing the other night the design i have its not lettering but it would still be facing me. i dont see why it should be facing down my wrist towards other people since its going to be on my skin and im doing it for me not for others but would it look more astetically pleasing facing outwards towards others:huh:

it would look funny to me upside down and i think it would be a little disapointing to me, to have put so much consideration into something, for me to be staring at it upside down for the rest of my life.

such a lovely idea
just my suggestion: i say, facing you for more personal reasons :flower:

^ I agree, get it facing you. I think if you get a tattoo you get it for yourself and of something that is important to you, so I think you bring able to read it is more important than everyone else being able to read it. And besides, I think everyone else can still read it even if it's facing you (i.e. it would only look upside down if they were directly facing you, but if someone was beside you, etc. they could read it just fine).

I had that same problem with my wrist tattoo, I got them facing me since they were personal (both words). I think I'd be annoyed, more than anything, and seeing them upside down.

Oh, I need some good cover up ideas. I have a puzzle piece on my wrist (long, stupid story) and I want it covered. But, I have no ideas. Anything would be better than this constant reminder of. . .well I won't go there.
It's about the size of a quarter.

i have the words on my arm not facing me.. cause else if you have your arm down the words would be upside down and that would annoy me so much

I got Banksy's "Balloon girl" tattooed on my leg about four weeks ago.

I love it but the balloon is still peeling and it's not very... beautiful right now.
