Tattoos

I'm trying to decide on a color for my next one that won't draw too much attention to it but also won't make it unnoticeable. I'm going to get it on my inner forearm just above the wrist and I already have a 3 in jungle green on that hand so I'm thinking either the same color green so it's cohesive or pink, I always liked pink for a tattoo. I think black will make it stand out too much and I wear a lot of dresses so I don't want a color that's going to make it look trashy with certain types of clothing. Maybe a light blue...

^ wish you could post a pic of yours gasoline rainbow . im dying to see one that looks hazy.

I always liked pink for a tattoo.

Pale pink or vivid pink? I like light pink in tattoos a lot, but depending on skin color and placement of the tattoo, all-pink tattoos look like scars or rashes to me. Maybe pink in combination with gray or a cool-toned color, so the outline is more visible? It's just my input, don't let me deter you.:flower:

^I was thinking like a vibrant pink but I didn't think about it looking like a scar that's a good point. I might go with blue though (something between this and this) , I think it would compliment the green (which the pink might not) and still not be too stand out-ish lol. I'm considering getting it in the same jungle green as my 3 but I have a feeling that'll make it look like one tattoo that's separated for some reason so I'm hesitant about that. The green goes really nicely with my skin though, I'm really really pale and it compliments it

I have the word "stonefox" in old school tattoo style on my right rib. it's kind of a tribute to my favorite book 'The virgin suicides' and a bit of a symbol for my youth..

I have a small black and white feather on the inside of my wrist
I love that in Ancient Egyptian mythology, the souls of the departed were weighed against the feather of Ma'at (goddess of truth) to determine their worthiness.
My tattoo reminds me to stay true to myself and to everyone else, and to try to keep my life in balance!

^^Kinda looks like it eh? Reminds me of this:

sorry I can't answer any of your questions.. there was no info with the images :flower:

I like those, really bold and artistic. Bansky's style is wonderful, but I find it hard to tolerate that his Butterfly Suicide became such a popular tattoo design. I support the need for disturbing, provocative art, but when I see such a theme on a person's body, it's too upsetting and even offensive for me.

^ I agree... I would want something peaceful on my skin, but I guess we all have different tastes. I love the ones above, especially the ink splatter on the shoulder! but they're too dark for me.

wow. i love these. incredibly bold idea to have banksy's design tattooed.

^ Some inks are better than others, any tattoo artist should be able to know what brand of ink will get that dark solid black, although it probably required several layers of ink. I have a large solid black part on my forearm (2 zombie black cats sewn together) and the artist had to do 2 sessions on it, and it probably needs 1 more before it's totally solid and opaque. Although I'm lily white so it's much more noticeable if it's not solid black.

im thinking about going to Louis Molloy to get my 3rd tattoo...I want to get my arm done as a half sleeve.

My friends husband said he wasnt that great tho...so now im kinda stuck whether to pay the £200 deposit and book it for Jan 2010--thats the waiting list. :S

btw he also did alot of beckhams tattoos---which I love.

Ok..so I've never been the biggest fan of tattoos but I now know that I want one, and have a rough idea what I want.

And Im really set on getting it in one of these places:

I like the Megan Fox one better but whatever I have going down instead of going across.

I've heard it's really painful though :ninja: has anyone got on in this spot?
