Tattoos

i want yet another tattoo on my lower back on the left side.. it is going to be "move" in my handwriting, which looks like "more" and "move" at the same time...

i just wonder, because in july i am going to turkey and then to malta for 2 months. i am going to be constantly on the sun.. i dont want my tattoo to look bad after that. but its april, so its pretty early..

what do you recommend?

^Not speaking from personal experience.. but I would imagine your fingers being one of the most painful places to get a tattoo given that fingers (especially your fingertips) have a very delicate sensory threshold / and the amount of nerve endings on your hands..

not at all i have a 13 on the side on my middle finger and it didnt hurt the funniest bit is you can feel the vibration of the needle through your finger:lol:

unfortunately the bottom of my 13 is fading since tattoos on the palms of hands and soles of feet dont last due to the skin type and where the bottom of the 13 is the skin is like that of my palm since its on the side of my finger. but i can always get a touch up^_^

ohh cool! :)
still on the thinking, I got a new idea, I'm going to see a tattooist next thursday or something. :)

Sunscreen! It prevents your tattoo from fading, the sun is murder on tattoos.

Also, finger tattoos aren't bad at all, they're over in a few minutes anyway :P
The hardest part is trying to keep your fingers clean (when you're as messy an eater as I am)

lol. :)
I had another question: when you pay for a tattoo, like if it costs the least, 70euros for example if it's small and about an hour, but that it takes only a few minutes, can you ask for a few letters that won't take much time to write without paying more? :s

I wouldn't suggest asking for anything other than what was originally planned. if you want to add something I'd mention it before the artist gets started.

well what I mean is, I have a couple of ideas for a tattoo, but there are two that I really want. So I'm thinking that since they are small ones, a word of three letters in the inside arm, and like again 3 letters/numbers on a finger, they won't take that long. But I'm wondering how much the guy will charge me for them? will he make me pay two separate tattoos or the 70 original bucks since it won't take hours? I guess I'll ask him thursday next week, but I just asked so I wouldn't look stupid in front of him ^^" :)

tattoo artists usually rate by the hour depending on how good they are but each design will be priced seperately, my finger tattoo only took 5 mins but i paid the minimum price the shop set for a tattoo because you have to factor in the needle etc. i'd take your artist the two designs and he will price them for you.

you can see the bottom is pretty faded planning on getting it touched up though when i have the spare cash.

i got it on my birthday this year which was on friday 13th and i was also born on a friday so was a good present to myself. its probably the favourite of all my tattoos.

a traditional style dagger and rose on my thigh and traditional style padlock on the inside of one elbow and key on the inside of the other elbow

ohh the elbow!
That must be a pain, knowing that it must hurt for a couple days, when you need to bend it and all. but I like how when you bend the elbow you can't see it and stuff...

well its just above the elbow joint on the inner arm. my leg hurt more 2.5 hours of pain then when i moved it annoyed me and couldnt sleep on that side for ages its amazing how you learn how much you bump things when you've had them tattoo'd
