TAYLOR Lautner has opened up about his rumored romance with Taylor Swift — revealing he “instantly clicked” with the country music star.

The pair met while filming new movie Valentine’s Day.

And Lautner, 17, says he was instantly attracted to 19-year-old Swift.

“We instantly clicked,” the Twilight Saga: New Moon star told Rolling Stone magazine for its December issue. “Aside from being beautiful, she’s extremely funny, charismatic and fun to be around.”

Speaking about his rise to fame, Lautner insists anyone who took on the role of werewolf Jacob Black would’ve become a star.

“This could have happened to anyone who played Jacob,” he said. “It’s Twilight. It’s not me personally.”

Taylor recently revealed that he avoids reading gossip about his life.

“I try to stay away from what has been written about me because if you let that stuff get to you and it’s not true, it can drive you crazy,” he said.

“One thing that I have heard recently, which is definitely not true, I was quoted as saying I will never take my shirt off for a movie again. I didn’t say that. If I have to, if the character requires it, I will.

“Who knows, in 10 years, I might do that. And like I said earlier, if a character requires me to lose 40 lbs, I’ll do it. It’s just what the character requires.

“I knew where my character went in New Moon and that’s all I tried to focus on. I couldn’t control things outside or the media. But I could control what I was doing to portray Jacob correctly.”

After an afternoon of reshoots for Valentine’s Day, Taylor Lautner and Taylor Swift step out for a bite to eat at Benihana restaurant in Beverly Hills on Thursday evening (December 3).

The two Taylors, you also grabbed a snack at Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt, met up with gal pal costar Emma Roberts (wearing a brunette wig) earlier this afternoon as they shot scenes in football field bleachers at a local high school.
