You Italians and your food. I read a quote by someone on a travel / food show: "I'm not a chef, I'm Italian". :flower: ...

 That's too arrogant...

p.s.
...truth is far from that, unfortunately......i.e., my older brother and my father can barely cook a boiled egg... and generally, people enjoying cooking are becoming rarer and rarer...:(

Thanks you two :) could you give me an example of when to use "que" please?

"que veux-tu que je te dise..." :D (= what do you want me to say)

(I was going to post more and more italian dishes but it's better if I stop, huh? :p Or maybe I could start a thread like "Teach Me Your Cooking I'll Teach You Mine"...)

 ...but HPL asked for examples with the "que"...
p.s.
 Errr...and anyway I'm afraid that no real french would use those grammar-book phrases IRL...
It reminds me of one of my favourite authors (a french one, btw: Frédéric Dard a.k.a. San-Antonio  ) who always makes fun of that kinda phrases making one of his characters say stuff like "I speak english very good: the cat is on the table and my taylor is rich"

p.s.
...to be completely honest, 90% of french wouldn't even use the "que-est-ce que c'est ça?" phrase I suggested, when speaking they'd more often say "c'est quoi ça?" :p

:( That's sad. But I realised guys who cook actually cook better than the gals! :flower: That's my observation.
