Teen Books

i really love all gossip girl books :heart:now im reading the second one.
i have to admit that t it is so addictive.
The It Girl might be another book im going to buy although im not really into Jenny..

I will say, though, I did enjoy the novel Prep.
I didn't like it. I was really bored of it after the first few pages... But I was all "Okay, after Chapter 1-- It'll get better...." "Chapter 1 sucked, maybe chapter 2 or 3 will get better. It didn't." :(

 I've finished The Tenth Circle by Jodi Picoult and it was a really good book.

I don't really like teen books.. even though I am a teen. I think they're all kind of a waste of time... hah but from the few I read I think I like Gossip Girl best.

^^ Me too, to be honest. Most of them are a little too trashy, but so addictive.
But then--it's a fun way to waste time.

oh, i loved this book! don't know if it's really classifed as "teen", but the main character was, so...great for any age, then
now i am reading my sister's keeper, which again i don't think the main audience was meant to be teens, but the main character is. being able to relate to the character (age-wise, i mean) plays a big part in who the audience will be, i think.

^^ I really wanna read My Sister's Keeper!

I've just finished the 4th Sisterhood book. It was really good. :( So sad that it ended.

has anyone read, Art Geeks and Prom Queens by Alison Noel?
it's a great book, sarcastic and funny and very real.

^^ I've been trying to find it since the title is so intruiguing.

Zoey Dean is releasing a new book called "How To Teach Filthy Rich Girls", which doesn't really sound as appealing as the A-List.

I've read the 4th book of Sisterhood and it was really good. It's so sad to see such a great series finish though.
I've recently read Peaches by Jodi Lynn Anderson and Bittersweet Sixteen by Carrie Karasyov & Jill Kargman(who wrote Wolves in Chic Clothing together.) I really enjoyed the both of them, especially Peaches--the characters are real and appealing. I felt as if I could relate to them.

Catcher in the Rye
Go Ask Alice
Wasted
A Child Called It

All the books I read in middle school involved mental illness and emotional distress.

the plot description kind of sounds like she took the idea of the au pairs. ..not that ive read it :innocent: okay, those are actually my big guilty pleasure! i stopped reading gossip girl, a-list, etc. quite a while ago but i still read the au pairs

I know what you mean about Prep, even though I liked the novel overall. The main character was quite shallow and small minded, but she came from a small town. The author mentioned how she was supposed to be annoying and piss the reader off sometimes. I was more fascinated by a prep school that took place in the 70's.
