Yes, and she asked Jane Keltner, who is Teen Vogue's fashion news director.. :innocent:

I think Chanel is young, fun, and the camera loves her. I'm sure if she's still around 10 years from now she'll read back on this article and think about what a nittwit she was. HAHA. I think she's gorgeous.

This issue of Teen Vogue is boring, I've leafed through it while waiting in line at the supermarket and thats all about the attention span it could get from me. LOL

Obviously the modelling world hasn't made Chanel Iman wise beyond her years.

Honestly I'm fairly indifferent to her as a model, as long as she doesn't unleash any House Of Dereon-esque crap on us, there are quite enough tacky clothing lines out there as it is!

^guys common...you cant judge chanel imans personality from an interview that someone wrote about her

we all know that what people say in interviews gets twisted around before it goes into print anyway

im sure she wouldnt be doing as well as she is is she was a "nit twit" or stupid girl
..you have to be QUITE intelligent to do what she is doing

Exactly. You can't dress up like a 'model'. God she sounds like she's 13. She still uses 'like'. I mean I use like in sentances too but I don't go all "that is like, so cool".
Also when she said "Coco Chanel -- you know her?" COME ON! stop trying to pretend you're all witty and smart.. everyone knows who Coco Chanel is.
Thank you. I absolutely cannot stand her and after reading this article, my feelings of nonethingness towards her has turned into dislike.

I doubt the whole article is misquoted and I'm not judging her personality, but she just doesn't seem very real or smart to me..

The Maria editorial is really cute though!

Well ... don't be too harsh on her. She's so young and not mature enough.

wow that chanel iman article is bad..'at every show, i wink at one person in the audience' it sounds so forced. i'm the same age as her and i don't use 'like' and pretend i'm naive. sorry i don't want to be harsh on her because everyone is brought up differently and i'm not trying to act like i'm the most mature person in the world..but please don't make her a supermodel..

I cannot believe the big shabang this Chanel Iman article has caused. All this dislike and distaste for what? You all act like you were GENIUSES at her age, the end all and know all, of it all. I highly doubt it. She is a teenager, and i think you all are being a bit harsh. What was wrong with her grammar? She said a couple of off the wall, humorous things, but thats her personality.

Do you all think Vlada, Natalia, Hana, Lily, Gemma, etc (all the young girls on the scene) are any different? I would like to see an interview where they were **uber** articulate!

I would like to know the reason as to why alot of you dislike her, let alone the article.

This article has endeared me more to Chanel, now that i know she has so many naysayers. I love a good underdog!
