Teen Vogue May 2008 : Ellen Page

I think it's a nice cover and very spring-ish.However,I don't think that ellen is a teen vogue cover kind of girl...

so i was worried that i might regret not renewing my TV subscription but haha now i see i have absolutely nothing to be worried about.

they just keep getting worse & worse...

this is horrible

did i mention that ellen page annoys me to no end?

If you haven't, I will. :innocent::lol: Although, I did find this quote cute:

"I think it’s a matter of the grass is always greener… (pauses) Not that I don’t think that the grass I’m on right now is completely green. It is.”
It's like she's running circles around herself trying not to sound ungrateful.^_^

If anyone has the magazine can u PLEASE post Sabina Karlssons Ed!:D

Frederike Helwig's shoots always look the same  It is ridiculous, always the same on a boat-at the beach setting

I will throw in my two cents about this cover. Personally, I love that Ellen is on the cover. There is so much pressure nowadays about being perfect, gorgeous, and fitting in - and I think Ellen is pretty but there's nothing too glam about her. She looks normal which I think is what the reviewers and readers want of Teen Vogue. I mean, if you read the feedback and the articles Teen Vogue has, they try to inspire girls to be themselves and to not go with the trends of anoxeria, for example. Teen Vogue is for much younger girls, the word " Teen " can apply from anyone from ten years old (I started reading Teen Vogue at ten, I'm fourteen now) to the age of eighteen, I'd think. It is a fashion magazine but also one that doesn't use gossip such as People and US!Today but instead talks to younger people such as I about Global Warming or Drinking while Driving. I think and I look up to Ellen Page, I knew her before Juno and I already loved the fact that she wasn't all glam as everyone else in Hollywood. She's an incredible actress and someone that looks healthy and that doesn't hit headlines with " Ellen is going to jail! " or things like that. She's a positive role model and she's not a model but an actress. I still think that Teen Vogue for her was a good choice. She's actually smiling on the cover and looks much better than Camille Belle looked on hers. She's natural, down to earth and her interview also suggests that. Please keep in mind that most audiences that read Teen Vogue are not in their twenties - alright, editorials are scanned and discussed here by older people than I, but the people who actually read it, I mean I didn't know who Marc Jacobs was until three years or two years ago and I bought Teen Vogue because of the stars that I admired that had the covers and the articles. It's simple and introduces to fashion in a rather .... interesting way. And also, most models in the editorials also have been pro what I'm talking about. For example, Sabina - looks like a normal teenager in her edit who is enjoying time with her friend at the beach. She looks healthy, she's pretty and she's smiling which is great. This isn't French Vogue or Vogue Italia. This is Teen Vogue. And since as someone pointed out, Ellen probably won't get a American Vogue Cover (however who knows who Anna Wintour .... bad taste lately ;]). So, I think it's great that she can shine to people my age and teach them that it is okay to be different because she's different than the Lindsey Lohans and Paris Hiltons and etcetera. I personally after school tomorrow am getting this issue because of Ellen.

I must say, Teen Vogue seems to be getting worse and worse. I don't like the editorials at all in this issue, and overall I'm quite disappointed in it - which is sad because I was so happy to see Ellen on the cover
