I used crest whitestrips and I think it's normal that it goes away. If you want staying results you have to fork out the money for a proper cleaning and whitening!
I think the crest whitestrips do the money justice. And if you make it a part of your rutine it really isn't that hard to do at all. And they really do whiten the teeth and really get rid of coffee stains and such.

I've read for some people it is actually quite normal to have slightly yellow/cream-coloured teeth. So how do you tell if your teeth are normal or if they've been stained? I certainly don't remember the exact colour of my teeth from when they grew in.

You can usually tell if your teeth are stained because the discolouration is a little patchy. Most people's teeth are naturally slightly yellow as you say, also certain medication or illnesses can cause the discolouration of teeth without actual 'staining'.
I believe whitestrips whiten even naturally yellowish teeth because they have done with mine quite well.

I use crest whitestrips too, and they definately work.
The great thing about them is that don't exactly ''whiten" your teeth like professional way, but instead make my teeth more brighter.. if that makes any sense.

i used to get my theeth professionally whitened a few years ago. i went to the dentist and he took a cast of my teeth and made trays for me. i had to put a special bleaching gel in the trays and wear it over night.

it worked very well but then i got braces and now the trays don't fit anymore. at the moment i'm getting my teeth professionally cleaned twice a year and imo they're pretty nice after that treatment.

I am currently in a bit of a dilemma... I tried the Crest Whitestrips Original before and it worked very well. I want to try the whitening thing again and the Premium strips are on sale right now. However, I read some reviews and, although they are said to work extremely well, a lot of people complain that the sensitivity that comes with using them is bad.

My teeth felt perfectly fine with the original, and seeing as I'm not very, ahem, big on funds at the moment, I'm not really sure if it's worth it to fork out $30 on something that will be wasted if the pain is unbearable with Premium.

Any advice, personal stories/experiences with Premium in contrast with the original strips??

I just got send some pictures from new years eve, although the flash was on, my teeth look yellow. Probably because I drink about three really strong cups of coffee every day.

So, I can't afford getting it professionally whitened (which is about €250 at my dentist). I've been looking at some products and Crest Whitestrips seem to be good to try.
There's only one thing that keeps me from buying; isn't this whitening bad for your teeth? I always thought that stuff damages that polish layer that's around your teeth?

I had the same experience u just described.. a couple of years ago I was using Crest Whitestrips Original and they were great.. then I saw my cousin who suddenly had amazing white teeth!!! and she told me she was using the Premiums.. i gave them a shot and let me tell u the pain and sensitivity were unbearable I had to stop using them by the 3rd day!!!!

I had to stop the professional kit from the dentist because of the sensitivity. I probably did around 7 nights for my top row of teeth, and only 2 for my bottom. (You're meant to do 14 days) - I just couldn't take the pain when drinking & eating. 2 months after and my teeth are still incredibly sensitive.

But I think I'm going to give the whitening another go this month, or else I would've wasted all that $$$ for nothing.

I just had my teeth professionally whitened a few weeks ago by a process called Zoom. The process itself was relatively painless, but for the rest of the day I was having something the dentist's office called "zingers" which feels like little electric shocks going through your teeth. That was pretty uncomfortable, but went away by the next day. After I had the whitening done, I had my 4 front teeth replaced. They were all dead resulting from a car accident I had years ago. I had crowns put on the front two teeth, and veneers put on the two teeth beside the front ones. I also had a little gum revision done to even up my gum line. I'm pleased with the results, although it didn't really make a whole lot of difference because my teeth were pretty white and straight before I had anything done. It was pricey though. Insurance paid for some, but not all of it.
