Moderator's Note:

For those of you who have not noticed it, we have a Fashion Wizard on our Home page which allows you to use our props, or you may download our templates to design your own fashions and then post them in the Fashion Wizard Gallery, here or both. For a tutorial about how to design your own rather than use our props, go here.

Here's one from Balenciaga Fall 2009. I made it with colored pencils and watercolors. I hope you like it! :flower:

all you talented amazing TFSers need to open etsy stores so that i can buy some of your gorgeous pictures.

i'm truly impressed.

very nice, what's it like working with water colors? I've only used markers and colored pencils. I'm resistant to water colors since the paper tends to get warped (I'm probably using the wrong paper )

I  watercolors! It's fun because you can layer the colors and make good colors. I use mixed media paper for watercolors and it still gets a little warped, I think because I put too much on. If you don't go overboard it should work. I'll post more illustrations later. :flower:

fashion sketches from screen photos

Hello !
I'm new at TFS.
I'm an artist and make from fashion - idest my clothes + accessories - a support for my colors (a kind of living palette). So, everyday, I make photos from my look, post it on twitter and indicate the color of the day. I also check if people at my office notice the color of the day.
But why I'm here in this forum, is that I also draw sketches of photos of fashion weeks (Lagerfeld, etc..) and streetstyles (Sartorialist, etc..).
I try to render the main idea of the fashion designer or the look of the streetstyle- person.
My sketches are made with pens and pencil (tombow) on a note book at my desk, in front of my computer screen.
My characters are mostly "insect like" (flees, "mouche" in french - Im' french in fact ).
I draw in a simple quick style. When I'm finished, I shoot the notebook pages with my iphone and post the photos of the sketches on twitter (waltercolor).
I also put the photos on tumblr.

As I've an access to TFS now, i'll post my next sketches in this forum.

This is great! That's the same Balmain Jennifer Connelly wore to a premiere recently right?

It's funny you should make that comment because I wish I could always draw more stylized. But I'm no good at it!
I guess the grass is always greener right? ;)
