^^ I like the opposite ;)...
But most of my clothes are actually neutral as well.
A 'crazy' little animal brooch on a white tee or on a coat is my favorite thing to add for some colour.

This winter I wore a spider.. like this:

StellaMare - I love that...I've always thought that quirky/fun details can add a lot to an outfit (especially if you're working with a limited number of pieces as this thread suggests).

^^Love the spider brooch! I saw an old very cool lady on the train wearing a black lace trenchcoat with a spider brooch, that was pure  I can only hope to look half as fierce as her when I'm 70 :D

Designer clothing from the last decade might become trendy again, but not for at least 10 years. Put them in the basement and save them for your daughter /cross-dressing son.

Ok, that's it, I need to move to Denmark.:woot:

I must say that it is a radical-liberal newspaper, so it isn't really representative

Black lace trenchcoat ... :crush:

I love that spider brooch. It's so cute.
And that is a great way to specialise your clothes.

Unfortunately I lost the brooch at the gym one day.. oh well, perhaps someone found it and had a laugh!

I'm trying to edit down my closet again, I've been on a bit of a continous shopping spree lately.. I much more enjoy having very little, although excellent, stuff.
I've decided to give away a Chanel bag, yes, for someone else to enjoy. I think that is, if a little crazy, a kind gesture and I'm hoping it will bring me more wardrobe calm. Besides, it's not the only Chanel I have.. ;)

That's very large-hearted and downright awesome of you. Are you giving it to a friend or towards some charitable cause?

Oh alright, I'll do it. Sheesh. I will take the bag off your hands, should your task to find an eager beneficiary prove impossible, as I predict.

I'm hoping to give it to someone who loves fashion like I do but who doesn't 'live it'.. Who perhaps at the moment can only dream of Chanel and the like, but who gets the same happiness from liking fashion as I do. Someone who would understand it and appreciate for what it is aside from just being a nice bag.

wow, love the spider brooch!!!!

i rearrange my wardrobe again eysterday and gave away lotsa things. for me it's an exercise that needs to be done quite often (every 2 months?). i will be more objective that way, IMHO

Since we're changing seasons, I thought it might be interesting to look at what we actually bought last season ;) Here's mine ...

  • socks and hosiery
  • suede and ribbon booties *
  • grey T-shirt with rosettes
  • leather/chain/ribbon bag, which broke and had to be exchanged for a different bag (quilted leather satchel) *
  • leather makeup bag
  • flannel skirt w/ ruffle *
  • two inexpensive cashgora sweaters
  • makeup
  • two pairs velour pants, for wearing at home
  • pumps for interviewing *
  • jacket for interviewing *
  • drawstring boatneck sweatshirt, for wearing at home
  • lingerie
  • cashmere gloves
The ones I've starred are the key pieces.

You can see how things changed mid-season when I discovered I would need to interview, and then needed more clothes to wear at home when I started working out of my home office. Had that not happened, I wouldn't have bought the pants, the pumps, or the jacket.

^ No  It's in the order listed on my receipts & tags envelope, but somehow I got all fouled up and it's all out of order this season :p

My list of last season.:p

* Various semi sheer black t shirts
* Balenciaga black leather jacket with silver zippers

I have to admit after looking at your blog (which I like a lot), I considered "signing up" for that, if one would actually call it signing up for it but I felt stupid doing so.
Anyway, a black lace trench coat sounds lovely. I wonder if I could find one somewhere.

 Not THE Ann D lace-up boots? Now this thread is getting as bad as the "Secret Shopaholics/What did you buy today" ones. People, you're supposed to be curtailing my shopping impulses! And Ta-ta, if you want to make me even more miserable, go right ahead and post a picture of your ribbon/suede shoes.

Easter vacay is coming up for me, so hopefully I'll be able to wile and manipulate my parents into some serious shopping.B) At this moment, I'm looking for:

- very soft, straight-leg trousers (or jeans) in a cold beige or gray.
- silvery metallic ballet flats or sandals.
- a bikini or two, woo hoo.
- dressy jacket or blazer in a color other than black.
- I'd also like a new watch and sunglasses, but I don't see my wily, manipulative ways getting me that far.

Oh yeah, just realized the question was for last season's purchases, it's all Pucci mama's fault I got mixed up.

pucci That list sounds very well thought of and closely edited  I think I've become more aware of limiting my H&M-purchases  I might even go ahead and get some stuff from Acne soon  I've been thinking about going to Sweden to buy Acne, the Swedish krone is very weak right now... :shifty:

This top in black and these trousers

I have a hard time seeing what they look like on the pic, so:

And in this colour:

I just don't want more cheap sh*t :ninja:

And then I'm done for a very long time...okay, so I might get a pair of shorts from H&M or Zara, but that's it. I promise.
