The Acne Thread

^ Exactly.
I use one by Nivea and I've been really satisfied with it so far. :flower:

i use the laura mercier oil free tinted moisturiser with spf20 and the coverage is actually really good,it has more of a foundation than a moisturiser feel to it and i have acne and it covers up really nice!!

I'm going back on Accutane for like the third time. I don't have really bad acne but it's just sooooo persistant.

This iPledge crap in the US makes it so annoying!!

I'm also using Tazorac right now which is helping considerably with the little marks that are left over from past break outs (I'm really fair so they all leave lovely marks, lol)

I just watched a documentary that said Pumpkin seed oil is really good for fading acne scars...

Ugh the temptation to squeeze these buggers on my forehead is so great...resisting...resisting....ahhhh

:judge:

okay, what about neutrogena?
i use deep clean invograting scrub :D
i personally think that if you have acne, using acne products
that aren't natural could make matters worse. Some people don't even
know if they have acne or rosaria :ninja:

Ugh look at my forehead...and this photo doesn't even show all the bumps...and look at the wrinkles! I'm only 22!!!!!

^ It looks fine! Really! I'm only 14 and I have heaps of little scars all over my face from pimples etc...

PS. You're from Auckland too?

I live here but I'm from the UK.

My skin just feels unhealthy to me and I don't really think that photo shows all the lumpiness and zittiness...it's not getting any better (and I used to have perfect skin)

I think the sexiest feature on a person is their skin, if it's good and glowing and flawless it's just hot. HOT!

*sigh*

This is what I used :)

PROACTIV does not work. It's a waste of money. I do not look as radiant as the photos of people who are using it. I am very disappointed.

What does work? I need an overall medication. I oil everywhere, I have plenty of acne scars, I get blackheads on my chin and nose, I have large pores on the outside of my nose, and large pimples attack my cheeks without warning.

I've had same problems, so I went to dermatologist, I had to take special antibiotics treatment (I had to take antibiotics my dermatologist prescribed for 10 days), I had to use anti-acne thing called "Zinerit" (has to be apllied on skin after cleansing), but I thinks it sells only here in Ukraine and Russia. I had to take prescribed vitamins for 1 month and I had to keep the diet for 1 month (no fatty food, no junk food, nothing that is friend, no sweets). Pretty much, huh? But the result was very good, I got rid of pimples etc, but post-acne scars are left on my forehead so I have to use concealer, but I'm using prescribed treatment called "contractubex", I just started using it, so can't tell anything

and 2 months after that your skin will probably look the same as it did before. Antibiotics help to get rid of acne very fast and good, but it will come back in 99% of the cases, I've gone on and off more than 3 times.

Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash cleared up the mess in just 4 days for me! And I have a feeling it ain't done yet! My skin gets a bit dry right after washing but nothing I can't handle the first 20 minutes..then it becomes OK. I have super sensitive skin so maybe this is why..Anyway it smells good too!

I also spent about an hour on whether or not to get this Neutrogena Oil Free Moisture Cream to put on right after the Acne Wash to reduce the 20 minute dryness, but something in me worried for using so much stuff on my face..can you guys recommend if this is a good idea? Thanks :))

MD spot control, MD blemish control and MD oil free moisturizer is the best shiet ever..it costs alot..all 3 were over $200 total, but the guy who created it is a widely known dermo for celbs...plus I GOT a free $250 facial from the MD line the other day...works great.

I agree. I think clear, soft, even-toned, glowing skin can make an enormous difference to how a person looks. I saw two girls (one I knew from sixth form college, the other I passed in university) that looked identical save for one having perfect skin and the other being covered in spots. The one with perfect skin was the most beautiful girl I had ever seen and if the spotty girl hadn't had identical features to her I would not have noticed her... This is why I think so many of us want that perfect skin: it could be the one thing that can change you from 'average' to 'drop-dead gorgeous.'
