The Acne Thread

Since starting to use the asprin face mask I've had three people on seperate occasions telling me how clear my skin looks compared to usual :D It is now my god send

Its back a few pages, but its very easy, few drops of water, a few (i've seen online people use anywhere between 4 and 8 aspirns) tablets, a small bit of honey, less than half a teaspoon (to moisturise) et voila put it on your face and you're away with it! I'm not sure how long you leave it on for or how often you should use it, from my research it seems people just figure out what best suits them!

Hope that helps! I am currently trying it for the first time as I type, fingers crossed!!!!

I add a little natural yoghurt as well :) and leave it on until it begins to feel tight on my face then wash it off

Some of you have been asking what to use to get rid of acne scars, I use bio oil. It's really oily so I only use it at night time just before I go to sleep in place of a moisturizer.. And although it's really oily it's doesn't seem to cause any break outs on my skin. It also helps with my pores and skin tone.

You have a wait a couple of months to see real good results though.

Where do you find that?

re aspirin mask
you don't have to add honey etc. to the aspirin, you may just add water and that's it.
some people add cleanser etc., so it's really up to you what to add

I tried the aspirn mask and honestly literally didn't notice one bit of difference, am i supposed to use it a few times to see the results? I guess so, kinda disappointed considering how much people have raved about it online....

I did a Neutrogena Mask last night, man did it burn my skin! I can feel a little guy on my chin, it's not a bump yet, but it hurts like mad. Any preventative tip? I was thinking toothpaste...
I'm too scared to try anything just incase it gets any bigger, i'm hoping to let it just fade away lol.

how long did you have it on ur face?
my skin felt great after the first time I had it

I have bio oil too but have neither used it on my face either. I think I did once or twice but the greasiness put me off. Maybe I'll have to go back to it.

My chin is still icky. I know that I make it worse by picking them (yes its disgusting and wrong but I cant walk around with them just being there yelling to everybody to look at them) but I can't help it. I'm due to go back to the doctors in about 2 weeks time and I don't know if i want to change medication or not. He did say the tetracycline wouldnt show results straight away as I was off of them for about 2 weeks but that was nearly 2 months ago,it can't take that long?

since quitting the pill 5 months ago I've gotten pimples again around my nose, sides of my mouth, and chin - heck if I were a guy I'd need a goatee :p I'm also getting it on my chest  I can't wear any kind of v-neck sweaters. I've been told to use a mud mask to help clear up the skin - I can do that but now I've got some scarring from just the last 5 months alone -- I have vitamin e capsules I could use -- do people find that a lot works? just a little? will it cause more pimples? Any advice would be appreciated, thanks ;)

I think Vitamin E is really meant for after your skin has cleared up.. once my skin stops breaking out I might use it but Im scared right now that it will clog my pores

thanks ;) I was wondering about that. On my chin things seem more cleared up - I may try some there this evening *crosses fingers*

Maybe you could get a face cream with vitamin e in it? that way its not so strong and heavy on your face? I have some vitamin E creams and they're so heavy I'm too scared to use it on my face but maybe a cream made FOR the face would be ok?
