So I've been reading this whole thread through--very helpful, it finally inspired me to bite the bullet and dump all my skin care stuff to start over. Not to write a novel or anything, but since graduating from college and turning 22, my skin has been an absolute nightmare (this after a lifetime of skin that strangers complimented me on). I think it's part stress (thanks, job market!) and, I've come to realize, partly my skin maturing--I apparently can't keep blasting it with a thousand salicylic acid-containing products, because I'm A Woman Now or something I guess.

Two and a half weeks ago, I switched to a regimen (basically, I can go into more detail if anyone wants) of mornings, Neutrogena Fresh Foaming cleanser and Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisture, and night, same cleanser, ACV as toner, and the same moisturizer, with tea tree oil on pimples. This has REALLY cleared up my skin in terms of active pimples, though I am still heavily scarred , but I am finally acknowledging that I need a richer moisturizer for night. I'm oily, but I've been waking up with some flakies and general dryness. Scar-fading powers are a plus, as are ~natural ingredients~ and/or cheapness (i.e., things I can find at either Whole Foods or CVS). Does anyone have any ideas? This thread hasn't steered me wrong yet...:flower:

you should look for moisturizers that have "combination/oily" on them, I really like Vichy Oligo 25 moisturizer
also RoC has good ones :)

can someone explain to me how BP(Benzoyl Peroxide) can age your skin?

im thinking its the sun exposure so i just apply benzoyl at night or is it the chemical itself that ages your skin?

You cant use it in the sun because it makes your skin sensitive to burning, I use it but i have a sunscreen foundation and moisturizer..

Has anyone got any tips to get rid of "under the skin" spots quickly and effectively?

I had two of these a few weeks ago, now a new one has popped up in the same place

I'm exfoliating with Marvel Gel atm so fingers crossed that will help

Have anyone have had any help for removing few xits on a fore head by using tree tee oil? like superdrugs?

I find that rosewater really helps with acne, as well as redness. I've been using it for about a week or two and my skin looks healthier and blemishes have definitely reduced. I use the Thayer's Alcohol-Free Rosewater Witch Hazel toner w/ aloe vera. It's good stuff! Definitely suggest that you all try it out.

^^ I just bought some Rosewater from a natural foods store but when I sprayed it on my hand, it dried with little sparkles in it. Does yours do that? I'm thinking of returning it.

I've no idea how (or even if) they can be gotten tid of but I guess that the bst advice I can offer is not to touch them.

sparkles? that's odd. no, mine doesn't do that. It leaves my face clean, refreshed, and moisturized. I say, return it. Research a product before you buy it, and always check the ingredients!

Thanks, yeah, that's why I make sure I always test everything! Just probably should've done it before I paid  I'll try Trader Joes or Whole Foods instead.

okay i break out BAD whenever i have pasta and im already expecting my skin to go bad in a few days! im talking one giant zit that spread its bacterias to create more giant zits. its so bad.

What can i do to prevent it to get bad?!

p.s. popular belief says food doesnt cause acne but i have experienced it everytime i consume pasta so i know it does.

Stop having pasta? at least for a while to try see if its definatly pasta thats making you break out.. I have done similar things with white bread and milk..

As much as you might like pasta sometimes things are worth giving up for clear skin :)

I'm using organic aloe vera gel with tea tree in it. Basic stuff.

yes im 100% sure its pasta. this has happened in so many occasions that im sure sure sure sure sure its pasta.

Paula's Choice BHA Liquid gets rids of zits FAST for me. I don't spread it all over, I just spot treat with it since it's so powerful. If I'm staying indoors for a whole day, I'll just keep applying it periodically and by the morning it's nearly gone.

I definitely recommend it.
