The Acne Thread

I tried it. didn't really work for me. :ermm:
out of all the acne medications and treatments, benzoyl peroxide was the most effective for me. but it was too harsh for my skin.
sulfur is actually pretty good as well. I want to try the ddf sulfur therapeutic mask. anybody used it before?

has anyone tried differin gel?
did it work?
Yikes! Differin is what I believe to be the cause/start of my acne. I was prescribed it a few years ago, which was stupid enough because I didn't even have acne. I was 15 years old so every rare blemish would be the end of the world to me. It clearly says on the tube that your acne may become worse before it starts getting better, so if you do decide to try it, be prepared for that. I was not and immediately stopped using it the moment my skin got worse and I've been stuck in this terrible cycle ever since.

But of course, your experience may be different if you decide to use it even after/if your skin gets worse. I don't mean to scare you off using it completely, so good luck either way! :flower:

yes im 100% sure its pasta. this has happened in so many occasions that im sure sure sure sure sure its pasta.

Go to your doctors and ask for an allergy test first and foremost,I have done this and it confirmed my suspicions that I'm intollerent to Mushrooms/Garlic etc. I don't think you can be allergic to pasta, perhaps it could be a wheat intolerance. But definetly go to your Doctor. Secondly,if you believe it is pasta, then as bad is it sounds, cue it out of your diet. I was severly lactose-intolerent for many years so I know how had it is to cut down/cut own something the results are worth it ;)

Plus,I'm not sure just how good dairy is for the skin anyway.

My skin hasn't been great the past few days but I think it's lack of sleep and me still abusing the no food rule that allow my tablets to work.

i think i will try it for a couple of weeks to see how it goes
i was prescribed it by my doctor so hopefully if things get worse i can go back and get something else
im really hoping it does work though, bc i have tried SO many things and none of it made any difference
it just makes you feel so self concience some days.

I bought Nixoderm,...And im using it with Dermalogica Products for Cleansing and Hydrating,n oh,i bought an anti bacterial pillow, let me tell u all my progress in 2 weeks,Wish me luck !!

You just drink it....I have 3 cups a day of spearmint and camomile bought from a nearby health food shop and it really seems to be working. I didn't expect it to tbh. Hope it works for you too :)

It's meant to work by blocking androgens...which make your skin oily and spotty.

^
thanks for explanation :) I normally hate minty tea, but if it has such amazing effect I think I should try it

Give it a go for 2 weeks ish and see if it helps...you should see a reduction in oilyness at least in that time....fingers crossed :)

I have 3 times a day..twice in the morning with breakfast and once again at some point during the afternoon :)

Spearmint Tea Is Amazing.....try It Girls (sorry Guys)
I Am Practically Clear After One Week :d

I just looked up Spearmint Tea and it says that it does block androgens and can help with excess hair growth, acne, etc. so thanks so much for the information!

I just bought Theyer's non-alcoholic toner with witch hazel and aloe 2 weeks ago and it really seems to be helping my skin. I haven't gotten any new breakouts, my skintone seems much more even and even the blackheads on my nose seem to be disappearing.
I just bought it at the drug store.
I second drinking tea. White, green and spearmint tea are all great for your skin. I drink as much tea and water as I can get my lips on :P
