at least there are lots of shades...i was so disappointed that they replaced teint innocence with vitalumiere aqua, the shade selection is horrible...

The texture of Lumiere Perfection is in between of those. The freshness of the Teint Innocence and the coverage of the Pro Lumiere...

Omg, seriously? Why on earth do they think we don't need the other shades? It's absolutely ridiculous, do they think we love wearing foundation a shade too dark?

They always make a collection for America, Europe and Asia... So, for Asia the most brightest shades are sold the best, for America is that similar with the darker shades. For europe we have a mix between yellow toned and pink and a few in between.

Only in the Make-up Studio's ( Harvey Nichols London ec.) you get the whole collection.

How do they know how the lighter shades will sell in Europe...if they're not available?

It makes no sense to me. I am not buying their foundation because of the limited choice of colours. They apparently do not understand that they are losing money on this. I'm guessing I can't be the only one.

I used to go straight to Estee Lauder for foundation because I knew Chanel didn't stock any shade that would come close to looking natural on me. Years later, nothing has changed, my skin is still the same shade and my money is still going to other companies who have catered for my - fairly common - colouring.

Anyhow, a closer look at some of the lip shades from the autumn collection (temptalia.com

Chanel Etole Rouge Coco Lipstick ($32.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a medium-dark berry red with a hint of plum. When worn, it is dark without being overwhelmingly so; it’s a softened dark, if that makes any sense! There is a hint of shine, and the lip color really seems to melt into the natural lip and ends up looking rather natural. It’s a very fitting shade for fall, and I think it is incredibly easy to wear, particularly for those who tend to stay away from darker lip colors. This is dark without being dominating.

Chanel Glossimers ($28.50 for 0.19 oz.) include two new shades for fall (although, the website also lists Giggle, it’s not on Chanel’s official fall release). Pampille is a sheer pink, while Braise is a reddish brown.

• Pampille is more like a sheer beige-peach with champagne shimmer. I didn’t see a lot of pink in the swatch. On lips, it’s mostly colorless and adds a glossy shine with shimmer.
• Braise is a semi-sheer plummy-red with red, copper, and gold shimmer. The color applied evenly and gave lips a fuller look.

Pampille is very much like any number of sheer lipglosses. There really is no defining characteristic to it that makes it stand out amongst numerous sheer glosses. Braise has more of a berry color and has shimmer, but it is similar to MAC Looks Like Sin. It’s also a more refined version of MAC Decorative.
