I need opinions please! I just got a black city that is like brand new and was purchased June '05. I was waiting for an opportunity to come up to buy the older black leather city but it didn't so I wound up with this one.- I couldn't wait to have one already!!! LOL

I can't decide if I should try to sell the one I have and just hold out for the older leather??? I am torn on this. The black city I just got isn't totally shiny and hardly has any distressing and is not very veiny at all- it is quite nice!

Does the leather get even softer with use? What should I do???

Would anyone like Balenciaga less if it wasn't designed with the tassles? I don't think I would've paid retail without them, but that's just me.

The tassles are what attracted me to the Motorcycle bags. I love them.

I would vote that you keep what you got as "it is quite nice!" and save up for a Colorful Old Leather B.bag. Maybe a different shape too. There are some amazing colors out there...Royal Blue, Seafoam, Eggplant and the old silver hardware is super cool on colored leather. Plus a lot of fakes have the pewter color hardware and of course they never get the colors right so an old black one would be harder to tell as not fake from a distance.

Just my 2-cents.

I do have the bubblegum pink that I just love! Now I have my black! I'm hoping my family grows even more soon!!! I am hoping to find the Dolma green now!!!

YAY!!!! I just won the Balenciaga Ghost on Ebay! Some of you know how desperate I was to find one. The seller was even kind enough to end the auction early for me to ensure I got it. I will def post pics when I get it.

Anyway....Does anyone have this bag that Nicole Richie is holding? It looks awesome, but I wonder if it is high-maintenance? Is it canvas with leather trim?

it's black/white striped tapestry...
it's gorgeous in person, but i would be totally worried about getting it dirty...

I would love a black city with silver/pewter hardware, but I too caved and bought a new one lol. Tomorrow it should arrive.

Anyway, my girlfriend has the red leather from Fall and it is very distressed now and much less shiney. Still thin, but it feels good. And I've heard the black and white had better leather than some of the other colors.

I love that ghost!! Congrats. If there is ever a red or pewter I will be all over it.

Now about that striped one....I think it "loses something" from the transition from leather to fabric. The beauty of Balenciaga is in the way it "hangs". That bag just doesn't "hang" like slouchy leather.

Looks like there's an ebay surge! Remember a few weeks ago when Balencaga bag listings dwindled to around 140? Now there are 250! I wonder if it was the 10 cent listing day on Tuesday that did it?

I've been at home mostly (being a good girl and studying physics before grad school), and it's so hot in Bangkok- I'm always so afraid of rubbing my sweat all over my precious bags. I took them out for a little photo shoot and decided that... I can never ever ever sell my babies! Do you ladies get that sometimes?

I know -- I get really attached. I only have one BBag and when I bought it I neatly kept all of the cards, tassles, mirror, dustbag, etc. in the huge box from BNY just in case I want to sell it one day. But I don't think I'll ever be able to part with it.
