^ When I saw the Ink bags at NM under artificial lights I couldn't see much Blue at all...they were very Purple. I was surprised because I thought it would be a navy color with purple tones...but I guess it's more color-change than that. I really love the INK color now and hope I can score a Twiggy in it someday.

lilbou - I'm sorry you may have returned a real bag, but eBay is so tricky unless you absolutely trust the seller. Next time come here to authenticate an auction and seller before you bid. There are some eagle-eyed ladies around here!

For the smell, is it possible she had kept it in a plastic bag for protection and the fumes penetrated the leather somewhat? I would imagine that would go away once out in the open air.

For the shine, some of the 2006 colors are quite glossy at first, but I've heard they mellow out with time.

I had a similar problem once on eBay...but it was months after I made my purchase. I saw an old all-cap italic LAMPO zipper on the bag I got and thought that was a sure sign of a fake. So then I started to see lots of other little things wrong with it. I openned up all these disputes and everything b/c the seller insisted it was real and wouldn't take it back. Well, then I asked for expert advise and found out it was indeed real...from like 2003 when those zippers were used. DOH!

it's amazing how the ink can look violet in one photo and very blue on another! do you guys recon it's more purple than blue or vice versa?

I think it looks more purple in the sun and more blue indoors.

I accused someone on ebay for selling me a fake LV a few years ago! I posted it on the ebay clothing & accessories boards to have them take a look- they all said it was fake! Anyway- I took it to LV and it was AUTHENTIC!!! I was a newbie to LV and didn't know much about how to tell the difference at the time and thought it was fake! I felt sooo bad!

I have been looking at the 2004 turquoise weekender on ebay.. i love the color! Do you girls think its too worn/used for the price?? I just don't think I like those gray handles.. but I REALLLYYY want this color!!

daydream, i think that's a good price for that bag. it's such a rare color in the weekender. it's not too bad of condition.... it should clean up nicely. i'm surprised it hasn't been snatched up yet.

lilbou, i'm sorry to hear about your ink. if you still want it, maybe you could contact the seller. i've always been ambigious about this seller though. all her auction pics look good, but how is she selling it so cheap and with no reserve? well, good luck to you.

Thank you Esile!! Okay, I've decided, my next bag purchase will be a Weekender! I'm going to sell my Chloe Paddy and get a weekender instead! Yay! I'm still debating over that Turquoise on Ebay.. I love the color, but I just don't know if I want a used or brand new one!

Is there anyone here who carries their Weekender as an everyday bag?

daydream, i think if your wanting a weekender...only a few hundred more than what the seller is asking you can get a brand spanking new one. but if you're wanting the 04 turquoise, this one is not bad of a condition. i don't see a lot of weekender popping up on ebay often... especially in a rare color.

you know what i might do now? Since i have ordered the City one from Balenciaga, i might as well exchange the 'first' bag from hgbags to the 'city' one and then i can spend as much time as i want at home comparing the bags!!!!!!!!!!
i will let you guys know the result!!!..
maybe i was too hurry to return the bag, because the smell Really Really got me feeling suspicious. It was so strong it's not even funny!!

Shirise seems to be a legitimate boutique - they carry a lot of high-end stuff and their Balenciaga is not actually for sale on the website - you have to call.
