Forgot to mention yesterday, I was conversing with the seller of the black aviator bag 6880028041

He's selling it for his girlfiend, bottom line is $600. He sent me a few pics of it worn on a manniquen. Asked him about dimensions:

"[FONT=Arial, Verdana]The length of the bag is 19 inches. The width of
the gusset at the very bottom of the bag is approximately 5
inches-but this cinches in with a buckle at the bottom so can be
made smaller. The widest part of the bag is 13 inches-which
includes the gussett's pressed open. The measurement for the
length was taken with the buckle in the longest position."

I just don't know. It's cool, but do I really want to blow a wad of cash on something I'm so unsure about, that maybe doesn't have good resale value?

she guarantees authenticity, but comparing to my own balenciaga that i got from Barney's, this bag just seems weird in person.

Oh no, upon closer inspection of that auction I noticed that the interior tag is not stitched to the lining with black thread...that's wrong. What color is the thread that attaches the interior tag to the lining on the bag you received?

lilbou, i'm not positive of the authenticity of this bag, so i am going to refrain from commenting on the actual bag.
but there's been a lot of speculations on this seller (hgbags) on another forum. some of the feedback alledges that the seller sales fakes. i agree with luckygirl, see, if the pics on the auction is the actual bag that you got?

I dont think the bag shown is the one that i got..!! But i got everything that a Balenciaga bag should have; the tags, extra tassels, etc, and the Balenciaga tag IS attached to a black thread!! But anyways, I have already emailed the seller and she did say that she ll give me a full refund. But she insisted that her bags are all authentic.
I went to the postal office right away and sent it back to her already. I felt so dumb while driving to the USPS. You know how it feels to be cheated?!!
I also called Balenciaga in NY and see if they still have any Ink Blue first bag left in stock, but they said that they sold out of it. They did have a City bag left, so i paid immediately and got that one!!
Thanks everyone!!! Just be careful with this seller!! I swear to god i am not going to buy another bag on ebay!!! there truly are risks and there is NO guarantees!!!!!!!!!
Oh, i did take some pictures before i sent it back, but i am like stupid.. haha.. i don't know how to post them here?!!!...

I'm sorry, I didn't mean the paper tag with the black thread, but the interior metal tag is sewn onto leather and that is then stitched onto the lining with a single black thread on real bags.

Good luck with the return and refund. I think this seller is trying to avoid negative feedback so they may cooperate.

Lucky girl - Yes, i checked everything..!! and from what i rememeber, the interior metal is sewn with a single black thread onto the leather.!!

what i thought was wrong were that the buckles were too big, the smell and the feel of the leather, and the bottons, they just look not right.. anyways.. you guys be the judge!!!!!!
and the seller wrote me like 10 emails explaining how her bags are authentic! How she has BIG connection, and she even emailed her inventory receipt for Italy to me..!!!

Well, lilbou, I can't account for the smell, but in my opinion, the bag you got was perfectly authentic. The buckles on the first are larger in relation to its size, as compared to the other styles. And the close-up of the buckle and studs... to me, it's perfect, flawless. The shoulder-strap hardware looks good, the leather looks like the current leather, the stitching, etc. - I think you returned an authentic bag.

Now I'm sorry I sold my ink city <sigh>, but looking forward to my black. It's been delivered to my postal outlet, I just need to go pick it up. Which involves driving over from Canada to Colville WA, so it will be Sunday before I'm able to get away. Oh well, a nice Mother's Day boost since dh will be away

it's amazing how the ink can look violet in one photo and very blue on another! do you guys recon it's more purple than blue or vice versa?
