This is sort of OT, but someone broke out the window in my dad's truck this past weekend and stole my fall 05 grey balenciaga bag. I know a thousand times over that I was stupid to leave it behind and never ever had until this occasion. We were out of the vehicle for literally less than 20 minutes. I'm just heartbroken over it.

So...just a reminder to everyone...take your bag with you and don't leave it anywhere!! I wouldn't want this to happen to anyone else.

FYI: When I returned my Day hobo to Balenciaga NYC, the SA called me to ask how I wanted to handle it. I politely told her credit to my credit card is what I would like. She then told me that they "don't do that." I could have store credit or exchange, but no refund. I was shocked! No where on the Balenciaga web site do they discuss a return policy, probably because you can't order directly from the site. However, at no time in my discussions with the SA when ordering did she mention that IF I needed to return the bag, they would only offer exchange or store credit. I now have to go through my credit card to dispute the charge. Just wanted to let you all know that if you plan to ever buy a Balenciaga anything, do it through an authorized retailer, i.e., department store, and not a Balenciaga store.

I'm so very sorry Victoria! I hope you feel better soon . I have the same problem, and my mom is always on me not to leave my bag in the car when I go out to get stuff, but I forget sometimes. Your story made me realize that I should be a lot more careful.

Eek - I can't believe they didn't tell you that! That's why I went to the store to try on all the bags I was considering before purchasing my ink day bag. They've never taken returns -- only exchanges, and I think they do a lot of exchanging. But they should've told you that before you ordered your bag!

Mizbags- Im soo sorry to here that.Im surprised they didnt tell you that.And i think its just crazy for them to not refund you your money.Because having to dispute that thru your credit card company can take some time.Believe me I know i use to work for one.And i saw so many people wait beyond 30 to 60 days to get their money back.That is just terrible.Balenciaga should satisfy their customers better than that.

victoria, so sorry! I've had similar things happen with freinds. My brothers car was broken into and his cellphone and ipod were stolen, my freind got his car radio stolen, and my boyfreinds dad has his sunglasses stolen. It's really outrageous that some peolpe do this!

Seahourse, it looks absolutly gorgeous!! May I ask how tall you are? I've been thinking of getting a weekender but I think it would look too big on me.

I suppose I should have asked them before commiting the funds, but honestly I thought they'd offer a 10-day return policy. With only two Balenciaga stores in the USA, it's not like everyone has access to the store to see the bags first hand. I've seen the City and the First IRL, but never any other styles. I'm sure they don't offer the information up front because they know that would preclude some people from ordering. According to the credit card company the store needs to state their return policy on their web site or tell a buyer when ordering IF they are not going to allow returns. I remember someone selling a bag on ebay that she received as a gift from her parents because the store would not honor a return. She wasn't too happy about it either.

Thank you all. The bag was covered under my home owner's insurance (and oddly enough not the auto insurance) so I think I'll get the money for it but it's not the same - that was my favorite bag.

butterscotch/carmel

cement/greige
blue india

sometimes mid-dec through mid-jan the spring colors will start to arrive.
