I got my violet city yesterday
I had a hard time trying to photograph this bag. With no flash it looks almost black and with flash or natural light it looks blue. However, I managed to get what I think are a couple of good shots. But you be the judge!

Has anyone seen the messenger bag with the large hardware?? any information such as the model name, price, colors, opinions etc. etc. would be greatly appreciated.... i want one!! (photo from cherylshops.blogspot.com)

gorgeous bag redsole! the purple looks simply de-vine!!

marj, neiman's in sf has that bag (called the women's besace) in vert fonce with giant gold hardware (i think)...
the very fonce is really a lovely color in person...a nice deep olive green...
i think they had it in black with giant silver hardware too...
i believe it retails for $1125...

edit...i found a pic of a mastic one with giant gold hardware from daphne at bal ny...

After I posted the above, I got a call from BNY and they have MY BAG, which is the Violet City with regular hardware, just like Red Sole's. They'll send her out tomorrow. I'm soooo excited......been waiting for this color which is my fav!!

Grape is really a fantastic colour this season, congrats Miz*Bags and Red_Sole on your grape cities!
Plus grape can look so different under different types of lighting, almost black when it's dim or a brilliant violet under bright sunlight!

I really love the leather this season, it feels much thicker and smooshier, but then my last Balenciaga purchase was in 05, so maybe I could have been a little out of the loop

Awwww...I've been looking for an 05 grey twiggy or city for almost a year now!! Congratulations on getting that bag!

Here's the marigold city w/ classic hardware...it has a couple of rub marks on the sides - like the top corner on the front and back so I think I'll exchange it if BalNY has more. I want it to be perfect when I get it!
