The Eyebrow Thread, all you need to know and ask about your arches

yeah eyebrows can realy make a difference. 2 or 3 weeks? Dont you ever wonder what it would look like if you grew back your natural arch? Just wondering...

I don't actually really change the shape much, my eyebrows are naturally arched sort of so I just get them neatened and looking more identical. Has anyone got their eyebrows tinted...I recently got mine done and even though I feel like my brows look normal everyone's like 'Wow they look really nice and defined!'

Lol yes "change" I love eyebrow but I just want mine thick and jsut clean them up .. not really pluck >.<"

How often do you have to pluck/trim your eyebrows within, say, a week? I know it's quite painful

I don't like saying pluck. It sounds like "plucking chicken feathers" or something. I say tweeze. But I don't really do them anymore since I'm trying to grow them fuller. I used to have them shaped and I would check them EVERY day for any stray or new baby hair and tweeze them. Seriously. It may have been compulsive.

I need to find a salon in LA that does eyebrow threading.. I don't like tweezing because it doesn't last very long. Any suggestions? I go to Ziba now, but I have NOT been happy with their services as of recently. That last woman destroyed my eyebrows and they're naturally thin as it is. I use brow wax to fill in but they should look nice sans makeup..

Oh well, it's such a chore to inspect and tweeze eyebrows everyday...! I really respect those who do :flower:

plucking is painful in the beginning. but once you pluck it ong enough the pores kind of get bigger of the constant pulling off the hair.

Eyebrow Experts! I've got a Q :)

Is a month and a half or maybe two months long enough to have them grow back in?

I want to get them done properly in June, they've been growing since about april 16th and I've been brushing them for stimulation and applying bhringharaj oil + rosemary..to promote hair growth and help strengthen the hair.

i dont think 2 months of growing eyebrows will be enough. It may seem like it but its not. The roots that are already existing will grow but for those that are broken and are in healing condition, will not even emerge for a long time and takes an even longer time to grow out.

You will have sparse hair around but i dont think it would show your realy brow shape and the waxer/tweezer will do with what you have.

I have another question ehe
I'm getting my brows waxed(2nd time in LIFE) and I have a bit bigger features not teeny petite ones.. so I was thinking what eyebrows shape would suit me BEST? I have a somewhat long face too if that helps but its not long and thin.. its semi full people say I have an oval shaped face but when I look at it closely I think its shaped like an oval but longer.. hehe and I have semi large eyes , a medium-big nose and a medium-big mouth..

it would be good if you guys posted pictures of good eyebrows thanks I'll karma you forever xD =]

i think that if you have strong features . For example sasha pivovarova or natalia vodianova. You can get away with stronger fuller brows.

If you have a softer face, like gemma(sasha would be a strong version) then you can get away with finer natural looking thin brow.

As for your face. Im sure people are right about your face. Our perspective about our face is usualy distorted. If you have an oval face you, you can get away with any brow shape. Personally, I just say makes it your natural shape. If you follow the proper way to tweeze it, it would llook fine.

Be careful with waxers. Ive always been iffy when i see ppl get theirs done. It does turn out thinner and it does look like it just got done. It usually look likes it was unecessary and just made to look even. Its your natural shape too just the middle ground to even both out.

lemme just tell you that you have better brows than most people. bravo.

one thing though, your right brow(the one that is in the second pic too) is longer than your left one and droops down. i had that too so this is what you do.

You take a pencil and place one end on the right side since your doing the right side. Then, line the other end of the pencil to where your eye ends.

The pencil should pass by your brow. All the hair past the pencil should be tweezed.

On the second pic, definitely tweeze out that lonely hair.

You may also wanna grow the bottom of your brow too.

hope this works. *cross fingers

i took out more at the end but i think you need to grow hair at the end. You should instead use brow gel to brush the hair up.

heres for the other pic. as you can see i tweezed the right more than the left so theyre more even now. I personally like have sparse hair on the end though...but thats your choice.

its not even funny how similar our eyes are! im still growing the base though.:(

Other than the minor changes i suggested your brows are great dont change them!
