The First Vogue or Other Fashion Magazine You Bought?

The iconic April 1993 US Vogue: cover by Herb Ritts featuring the major girls:

I was 11 when my sister and I bought the issue. We must have flipped through it a million times because the cover is all worn and taped on (blasphemy! XD), but I still have it. 1993 was such a great year to start collecting because I caught Linda's gorgeous September 1993 cover (one of the best covers in the magazine's history), and I caught the rise of Nadja. ^_^

The first fashion magazine I really remember buying was a February 1990 UK Elle with Yasmeen Ghauri on the cover, although I think I bought a few issues before that which weren't remarkable enough to leave much impression in my mind.

I can remember issues of UK Vogue in 1990, I can still remember where I was sitting when I first went through the September issue, but the first one I can really recall buying - where the purchase seemed like a big event - was April 1991, mainly because of the impact of Tyen's cover shot of Karen Mulder (whosdatedwho.com:(

first one i bought was in 2005, december i think, hidden away somewhere in my room, but my brother bought me for my 16th the june 1992 british issue, which is amazing to look back on and see how it has all changed!

#37 oh no,I won't judge you, because I knew there is a most spoilt girl in the UK,she wore Baby Dior when she's born, and her family still feed her with luxury goods.

Sadly I can't remember my first Vogue that I bought (must have been when I was 8 or 9), but I do remember the first Vogue Paris I got! Kate Moss April 2008. I love that issue! It was so fantastic.

^Oh God, 8 or 9?! I remember flicking through VPs with my mom alongside at a pretty young age, but the only things I purchased at 8 or 9 was Pokémon cards

Me too!! I was so obsessed with Pokémon at that age and had no idea what LV means.

My first ever Vogue was US VOGUE OCTOBER 2006 : Cate Blanchett by Steven Klein

Back in 2006, I was 13 or 14, I remember seeing it at a discount magazine stall in a local mall here. I was so curious to see what's inside "VOGUE". I knew it was respectable fashion mag even though I haven't really seen one. I wasn't dissapointed and loved everything about it. I bought every single issue of US Vogue and other magazines (see my collection in the Picture of You Magazine Collection thread). I still have that issue. It's not in the best quality. I'll give it say, a 6.5/10 in terms of quality.

US Vogue March 2003: Julianne Moore by Steven Klein.

I was 17 at the time. I'll cherish it forever. It introduced me to the wonders of Meisel, Elise Crombez and Natalia Vodianova

My first Vogue was actually Teen Vogue's June/July 2005 issue with Lindsay Lohan on the cover. My first real Vogue that I bought with my own money was the May 2007 issue with the Top Models on the cover and I think I bought it at CVS haha.

Vogue Paris November 2006 issue! that's the first Vogue i bought, with... paris hilton on cover:sick: she was so horrible! but never mind, i immediatly fell in love with this magazine!

I think it may have been erm a truckload of 70s Paris Vogues that I found in a dusty old archive. That was in 2001.

That I bought with my own money: Sofia Coppola on Vogue Paris, which is still very precious to me.
Most magazines I used to receive (my mom gets them from her work) were all Vogue US...

US Vogue march 1989.I was 13 and i had been wanting to buy Vogue for about a year, but i didn't feel worthy:rofl:.Beautiful, rich, sophisticated women bought Vogue. Not my pimply, dorky self. But that day,i had just gotten my allowance and this cover looked so goood...i went for it!

i didn't even want it because i thought the cover was boring but i'm really glad that i did get it now because i can fondly look back on it... even though half the editorials are torn out
