epilators are evil machines!!! lol ive done waxing, and shaving most part of the time, cause i cant stand hair "down there" (lol i love it how it sounds) but never done professionally, i would like to have laser, cause already had it on my armpits and its such a dream come true, but i guess i dont feel comfortable going to some place and show all my "down there" . i dont even know how it works but one thing is for sure, in order to get rid of the hair you got to show it....and im just not so very comfortable with the idea.

question.. did u have course hair on ur armpits?? i want to get mine done too.. but im scared laser would b a waste of money

laser is awesome, trust me, since the first time i went it wouldt grow until three weeks later and it was such tiny fragile hair. i tried wax, tweezers, shaving, creams, always painful cause its a very sensitive zone but also the hair kept growing and always looked well, not so clean, plus everytime i had to put on a sleeveless tshirt or something i had to go and shave, now i dont even care, i dont even look there, cause i know theres no hair at all. it looks really clean.

Laser wont hurt at all, except for the upper lip and inside the nose. it burns a little but its like a milisecond and the pain just goes right away, no swollen skin or rash. its best invention since the pill. 100% reccomended, just go to a good clinic, thats important, and always wear sunscreen.

Wax is the only method for me. I do it myself every month to six weeks or so. Because I started right when my hair began growing, it's really easy and completely painless. Very small strips on taut skin is the key or my skin bruises. I don't use any of those chemicals that ****** hair growth but I do keep my skin moisturized and free of irritation. For a couple of days after I wax, I wear boxers and loose trousers.

i waxed my underarms for 3 years (just did it at home with sally hansens all over brazilian wax formula) and now there's like 10 hairs, i pretty much stopped waxing and just use tweezers on the few strays. so waxing really does damage the roots and stops growth so hang in there, its not a myth!

Do you guys (meaning girls :p) use cold wax strips or hot wax? Cold wax strips never pull all the hairs out for me - in fact, there is hardly a difference between before and after.

I can't be bothered with waxing the bikini area anymore because i hate having to wait for the area to grow back enough for more waxing. I was thinking of switching to shaving but how long does the smoothness last and how often can you do without irritation?

satin chic, I use hot wax. I usually buy Nair from Amazon. It's 2 big packs of wax for $15. The wax is microwavable, it works really well, I never had any reactions to it. I use it for my upper lip and bikini area. Cold wax strips never remove the hair completely and recently I used Veet wax strips, they did nothing for bikini area and they removed some of my skin from the upper lip

what do you guys think of nair hair removal creme for bikini?
will it irritate?

I find Veet cold strips to be super effective, nice and clean. Nair "fruit" strips were runny and ineffective, more wax on than hair off, whatever you do DON'T USE THE "HAIR TODAY, GONE TOMORROW" wax from bath and body works....that stuff should be recalled. It bakes onto your skin and you can't pull it off....lol google the reviews for horror stories

^I work at Bath and Body Works and the Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow I assume has been discontinued. I refuse to wax, but a customer said that she has used all sorts of different waxing things and that ours was THE worst.

The Bikini Line.

I want to know how you girls (and maybe some guys) keep that area neat and tidy.

Not everyone waxes. Many times we shave it ourselves.

Can anyone share what they do to keep their "cash and prizes" looking their best during bikini season?

What methods work best so you don't get bumps or razor burn?

(Merge if necessary. I felt it didn't belong under the wax because we don't all wax.)

I've yet to try waxing but I've learned, unequivocally, that shaving DOES NOT WORK for me! The results are always awful and sometimes painful. So I've just decided to stick to trimming, and maybe one day, waxing.

what about ingrowns? I wax but find it difficult even when i exfoliate regularly in that area especially in summer gets a bit bumpy...

I used to wax but a friend of mine told me her doctor said she shouldn't wax 'down there' since it could effect her 'sexually'. is that ture??
