^the class of the salon really makes 0 difference, it's all about finding an aesthetician who's good at it. I've had CRAP waxings that cost ridiculous amounts of money, and really good cheap ones. I don't think it's worth spending a lot of money on, if you don't like where you go, try the next cheap place, you'll find someone good eventually. I don't know chicago at all but if you can find a latin salon, you might have good luck.

woah! props to kate moss for having the guts to pose like that!
I recall a model having her hair down there shaved to form the Gucci "G". Was it Daria?

Wish I had the guts to wax. It's so inconvenient to shave each time I need to put a swimsuit on. I'm always so conscious of the "bristles" that may "pierce" through the swimsuit.

i must be naive.

i figured most women would shave/trim/wax. i hear of too many guys being turned off by it. many men like to give 'pleasures of an oral kind' to their lover, but often ive heard its *not fun* when their partner doesnt practice good hygiene.

i shave every other day; it is not difficult at all to get straight lines..............everything that is left is trimmed pretty short. i can shave my legs, underarms and private area in just a few minutes...........

It's not about being hygenic melanchonika...the majority just think it looks and feels better...you could be totally hairless there and still not be 'hygenic' it hasn't got much to do with the hair.

If I shaved my legs every other day it would absolutely kill my skin...I'd get tonnes of red bumps etc, and it takes me wayyy more than a few minutes to do all of what you mentioned. Roll on savings for laser hair removal

when you dont wax it all off, when there is still some hair left, how do you keep the hair soft? i hate it being all bristly...

Waxing is the only way, don't shave coz you should cut yourself down there and that won't be pretty....

It's better to go to a professional salon to wax down there and safer too.

Has anybody ever tried threading down there? It works beautifully on my eyebrows so I wonder if it would work there too.. Its probably alot cheaper than waxing...but best left to a professional, I think.

I use the hard wax. It comes in a pot and you warm it up in the microwave, when you spread it on, it cools and hardens, not strips for mess. It's messy but great. I feel so liberated and doing it myself is way better because no one else has to see my most private areas

what make do you use shoexgal...?

I use a hardwax for inbetween my eyebrows (a small facial kit size though) and I find it really effective.

I just trim down there. I think when a guy shaves it all he looks like a kid who has barely has hit puberty.

tiny spots/bumps after shaving private area please help?

hi there
i find that after i shave my private area i get alot of little tiny bumps/spots that are kinda itchy does anyone know why this happens and is there any cream or anythign i can do to prevent it. i dont liek to wax as i find it too painful so prefer to stick to shaving thanx alot

poohbear....it sounds like the beginnings of ingrown hair.....when your hair is course and growing back, it can have trouble breaking through the skin and you often get bumps and itchiness....
if you can gentle exfoliate, that should help the most.....it gets rid of dead skin and improves circulation which will help the hair break through.....
aloe vera also helps a lot.... and a good natural cream with vitamin E....

there are medicated creams on the market for that sort of thing, but i personally dont believe in them.....aloe vera and exfoliation work for me.....and are all-natural.....
if you do that regularly after shaving you should be okay....:flower:

I loved that Carmen Kass advert, but anyhoo threading would probably take way to long and imagine having someone's head bobbing up and down at your crotch lol.

I shave down there. I found this great shaving cream that works wonders, which is made for shaving your whole body (and also doubles as a conditioner! haha). I used to use Skintimate shaving cream and it would always irritate me down there...

My boyfriend is relatively non-hairy, which I love. He doesn't even have to trim his armpit hairs and they stay nice and short. I don't like hairless guys, but I do like guys that are on the less-hairy side. He trims 'down there' which is great too. As long as there's hair but it's not all over the place, I like it.
