I took a tablet of Ibuprofen before going to the salon, because I had heard that it was painful. But, to be honest, it wasn't that bad.

I'm using Veet Ready To Use (Mini) Strips. It's really great, esp if you have no time to heat the wax and such.

being a brazilian myself i never understood why that certaim type of wax is called a Brazilian...i've never met a single native that does it! But we do get used to waxing since we're very young...i do it for about 5 years now (i'm 19) and now it doesnt hurt anymore and i have less and less hair. My mum's been getting waxed for 30 years and she's completely hair-free now.

I've recently done laser hair removal..and let me tell you, that one hurts . The more hair you have and the thicker it is, the worse the pain. But after having gone to what, 4 sessions, i'm almost completely hair-free!

Prefer to be hairless (everywhere except on the top of my head)
uses mainly hair-removalcream which works wonders painless, and use a razor at the hairs that are left.

I wish waxing wasn't so expensive here.....now that I'm going to be seeing my boyfriend more often (ie we'll be in the same city and continent instead of seeing each other ever 1-3 months) I'm going to have to start waxing regularly (since shaving is out of the question) but i don't want to fork over 60- 70 cdn/month for someone i don't know and might be terrible.....i wish there were rankings or something

how do you shave properly because when I try it hurts and it doesn't all go cause little hairs still stay there.

well if that's the case, I wouldn't. Some people's skin can handle shaving in such a sensitive area, the majority can't which is why it's ineffective, it hurts and you get red bumps/in grown hairs. If you absolutely must shave, then the biggest tip I can give is to use a fresh razor so that the blade isn't dull and make sure you've been in the shower/bath for at least 5 - 10 minutes so you've given the hair follicles time to soften up.

I can't find a decent enough wax for down there?, Veet was an unpleasant experience and turned my front bottom into a burning purple alien , waxaway was okay but not strong enough.

I'm considering brazillian. I'm super nervous because I've never had my down there waxed before. Any tips ? Reading this thread has made me a little apprehensive, but also now I feel like if I don't do it I'll be missing out on the many benefits.

I didnt mean you have to go Brazilian, but i was surprised at some posts saying they dont wax or shave.etc because they are not in a relationship and therefore they are the only ones who see it, so it dosent matter if it is all wild. Um that is unacceptable for me, i dont do it because i might have sex or because of other people or boyfriends.etc, but because i feel best when i am comfortable with myself, and growing a national forest aint cutting it for moi.
