The Hills

Heidi's definitely funny, but she complains about how hard her job is....while she's getting Brent his lunch, and can't even manage to do that correctly. He wasn't even mean to her about it.....and I'm sure there are plenty of bosses out there that would be. Does she realize how real people work!? I don't think so!

I thought the pep talk the woman in the bathroom gave her in last night's episode was great. I mean, Heidi just does not understand the concept of "working your way up the ladder". She seriously thought she could walk off the street and start running the place! Do you really think she will quit?

As for Lauren, looks like we're in for some drama next week! I like Whitney. She seems kind of like an airhead but really sweet.

Aside from being sweet, Whitney has the unusual distinction of being someone who looks 10 times prettier with her hair UP. It's rarely like that, but really, she looks so much more sophisticated and intelligent that way.

^ I completely agree. I think it has something to do with the fact that her hair color is so so light. I like both Audrina, Whitney, and Lauren, but Heidi I'm not sure if I like her or hate her.

This show is 100% percent scripted. I've only seen a couple of episodes but they followed the basic conflict, climax, and resolution blueprint. It's still entertaining, when I watch it as a badly acted tv show and not as someone's real life. Plus, I like her since her name is Lauren. :)

i don't think it's scripted. they just edit it to follow that particular format. :flower:

^ I agree with Velouria that it seems to be more a case of heavy editing. For instance, in this week's episode when Lauren meets Jason for dinner, they made it seem like she immediately sits down and asks him why he called her. Yet when she asks this, she already has her food and is twirling it around her plate with a fork! Clearly, this was not the 1st communication they had that evening. The show is definitely highly pieced together, but I don't care--- I love it!

i'm really curious to find out what happens on next week's show. i know lauren and jason end up together b/c they are together now according to various appearances and talk shows where she's been asked about him, but it looks like he's acting up next week. personally i think she could do much better, but i guess it's his bad-boy persona that gets her.

is that your name too?

I'm pretty impressed with how sensible Lauren is on the Hills. I never really noticed that on Laguna Beach...except one thing..she is way too good for Jason!!

aww all the girls are so pretty! Especially Whitney, she has an odd kind of beauty..but I like it. Her hair is so light, but it actually looks good!

OT of the Hills, but I must say I really like this new show about cars on MTV. Fast inc? or something like that. ommmgg the guy who owns the car shop, Christian  hahah way off topic, but they have MTV in common!

The show is totally scripted. Never in a million years would a magazine send an intern cross-country to deliver a dress. Way too many liabilities involved.

Heidi's boyfriend is such a loser. "Stay home" "Quit" "Lie in bed all day" Urrgh.

Heidi isn't better, but together they are just a horrible couple. Neither of them want the other to do well, it seems like.
