What if Heidi really didn't start that rumor? She might have and it's a 50/50 for me, but if she didn't I feel really bad for her. I bet it was Spencer and not her.

Ok I give you that. Heidi may not have started it, it was probably Spencer but I can't believe he would be able to do that without either Heidi's help or at least her knowing about it. Which both makes her equally guilty in my book.

But maybe that's just me.

^That's true, but who knows? People can be sneaky and two-faced. Especially Spencer. I'm not saying Heidi is innocent, but if she is, I feel sorry for her. Audrina said that they didn't have any evidence, so I think it's a little bit too much that Lauren yelled at her if she's not even 100% sure.

She should have called Lauren though, rumor or not. Because she says how much she wants to stay friends, but didn't even call her to see what's up.

Heidi IS totally brainwashed by Spencer and they're so behind the sextape rumor. It's such a Spencer thing to do. Create drama and stir up some trouble just to get his Beavis mug on tv.
And who's Spencer kidding with that ring? He didn't even bother to check her ringsize. He acts like he just bought the Taylor-Burton diamond at cartier and not some tacky knockoff for $29.99
And that proposal... so he's marrying her because she's... there? And she loves him because he's... there?

While I was watching the actual premiere last night, I started to believe that Heidi might not have started that rumor herself. However, when I saw the previews for next week and heard Heidi make that nasty comment about Jason and Lauren hanging out together again because they were filming a sequel...I kind of changed my mind. Granted, I am basing this on a preview clip, but still... I think that Heidi really has changed and is trying to play the victim. Both her and Beavis are simply trying to get some airtime at Lauren's expense, IMHO. It is sad because when I watch season 1, I love Heidi. She was cute, innocent, free-spirited, and an amazing friend to Lauren . Spencer literally sucked out her brains. He must be friends with Tom Cruise or something.

lo was HILARIOUS with the justin/bobby thing...haha...i hope we see more of her this season. and as much as i really do like lauren, i can finally see how she does get into people's relationships. i know that she's just trying to be a good friend...but i also think she's quick to judge --and personally, from an outsider's perspective, the relationship she had with jason was complete crap...

I agree 100% with what you're saying. I like Lauren as well, but she gets too involved, in my opinion, and that obviously played a large role in the demise of her friendship of Heidi. It wasn't all Heidi's fault. And I'm saying this as a Lauren fan.

I think the second episode made Lauren look like she was intruding into Audrina's relationship than being a concerned friend. To be fair, the guy did ditch Audrina in Las Vegas and that in itself is reason enough to not date someone again.

In regards to Heidi and Lauren, I really do feel for LC. I had a similar thing happen to me awhile back.

Basically, a very close friend of mine started dating a guy, who was a complete jerk. Not only did he treat her like crap, he was also rude to all of us, her friends. Keep in mind, we were willing to give him a chance, but he made that impossible. Anyways, after a while people started to drift away from her, but a few of us stuck by her because were so close. She would constantly complain about him and wonder why he was so mean to her, yet she still stayed with him. Some time passed, another one of our friends and her got into a a huge argument over the situation and stopped talking, yet that still didn't show her how much of an effect this guy was having on all her other relationships. Eventually, the rest of us just got tired of trying to help her when she didn't seem to want it and we all just grew farther apart from her. Now we don't even speak. None of us hate her, it just saddened us to see her let a guy control her like that, as she watched her friends being pushed out of her life, yet it took her so long to finally say enough.

Sorry for the long story, but I think that's why I'm such a supporter of LC and feel really bad for Heidi. She seems like a sweet girl that just got caught up in the whole part of the relationship.

One thing that confuses me is this though: Does anyone remember Jordan, Heidi's boyfriend from season 1 of the Hills? Well, she broke up with him cause he would curse at her and snap for no reason, yet she's more than willing to put up with Spencer's drama?

Heidi has always played the victim IMHO. And that she and Beavis McBraindead are trying to milk every second of airtime they can get out of this is so completely obvious. They've done everything but admitted it. I've heard their interview with Ryan Seacrest on Kiss FM and they were plugging the show any chance they got. (And Spencer was plugging his website like mad)
The way Heidi was acting during that interview was not the way someone who's totally innocent would act. But again, that's just my POV.
Spencer did suck out her brains. Poor girl, she already wasn't the sharpest pencil in the box before she met Spencer but now she's been spencerfied there's even less...

I don't think people should be fooled by Heidi's acting, she is fully responsible for the sex tape rumour, together with Spencer. OF COURSE she's going to deny it, as if she'll say 'Sorry Lauren, we just did it for publicity!" ..let's face it we can all pretend not to know about something and lie if we really wanted to, I wouldn't be surprised if we all did it at one time or another, even when we were really young at school. I don't' buy Heidi's puzzlement for a second. I really believe (and i know how most of these people work through friends in the industry) that Heidi and Spencer sit down and work out what they're going to do in order to get air time, tabloid pictures, etc. It's all very orchestrated on their behalf.. I don't think the proposal is real either... most girls can cry on queue, especially good actresses like Heidi..
It was great to see Lauren and Lo looking great. I also think Lo is engaged ..i saw that last season, but I can't find anything about it online. Any one know anything about it?

I agree about the ring... and Brody.

That ring was hideous and not even a real diamond. He didn't even buy it in a jewellry store. He bought it at a store that looks like a hotel gift shop! When he told the saleslady that he was proposing to his girlfriend she had this sound in her voice like "hunny this aint an engagement ring".

Worse part is that Brody had to pay for that ring. I bet it only cost $50 so I guess Brody didn;'t mind
