I was watching the deleted scenes for season 2 last night. I had not realized how much they spin the show until now. Lauren actually liked Spencer a lot at one point. There was a scene with her, Heidi, Spencer, and Brody at dinner, and Lauren was telling them how cute they are together and asked if she would be invited to the wedding! It was sooooo weird to see her liking Spencer so much!

Lauren liked Spencer up into the point where he devastated Heidi by cheating with the Playmates and left her sobbing on the couch in lauren's arms. Remember Heidi said she was taking a break from Spencer after that but she took him back. Then Spencer was hitting on those girls again at the club and he and Lauren argued about it and that was pretty much the end of Lauren and Spencer as friends.

it makes me mad that they cut that out. i've heard people complain about lauren saying she doesn't like her friends to have boyfriends unless she does, but like you just said, she wants her friends to be happy and she gave spencer plenty of chances to be a good guy.
