A poster from Laguna Lovers e-mailed Lauren's mom about her Teen Vogue internship. I believe the poster may be friends with Lauren's mom through affiliation with a Lauren fansite. Anyways this was Kathy Conrad's response

"Yes, Lauren still interns at Teen Vogue and has since the show began. She works part time because she has so many other commitments. When she works they film her, so maybe that's why it seems like she only comes in to film. She works events, fashion shows, photo shoots, etc. "

it doesn't necessarily mean its' all fake though..it could just mean that she didn't feel like filming that particular scene straight after the date so they went back and filmed it another day..that's all..something could have happened or maybe they couldn't film. But i think from what we see of Pap photos, and other accounts of what happens..it all seems pretty real.

^I'd like to believe that-but I've see the pap photos of them staging "ordering" a meal in a restaurant, etc...I think they were in NYC or something and someone at the restaurant reported on them having to order and reorder for different takes.

I'm not nearly as into this show as I was at the beginning of the season At least Heidi and Spencer keep it entertaining (On and off camera. ha!)

Yeah I'm not buying that too much, he sounds a bit bitter..I heard from other people that have worked with her that she's really nice. I can imagine Audrina is more superficial, she really comes across that way but Lauren seems to have enough brain to have real conversations with people..

It gets worse Hills fans.
Sources reveal exclusively to PerezHilton.com that Heidi’s job at the event production company is purely for show.
“She doesn’t really work there when the cameras are off,” one insider tells us.
Additionally, sources also tell us that Spencer and Heidi wanted to get married on the show this season but L.C. nixed that idea, threatening to not come back for another season.
You know how they can trump that? Heidi needs to get pregnant.

WTF does he have to do with Iraq? It reminds me of Ms. South Carolina blubbering about "the Iraq" just because she thinks it's important. And by the way, Spence, don't give yourself too much credit - you're not nearly important enough to take away from something as big as that.
