We don't know whether Whitney has drama in her life or not because we haven't seen her personal life in the 4 years she's been on the Hills. We know less about her than we do about Spencer unfortunately and he isn't even in the credits. Where does Whitney live? Does she have roomates? Who are they? Who are her friends outside of Lauren? What does she do when she's not at work asking Lauren questions?

I think its funny everyone thinks Whitney landed jobs with People's Revolution and Diane Von Furstenberg just by hard work. MTV got her those jobs just like they did for Lauren. Someone like intern Emily who was in one of the past seasons probably worked hard for her jobs.

If Whitney is anything like she is on The Hills I can't see her show succeeding. Lauren opened up all aspects of her life and her drama and heartbreak is what keeps us talking. Whitney is reserved and doesn't reveal anything. The mass audience will not tune in to watch her dress models week after week.

^ Agreed. I think its hilarious that people actually believe Whit got the People's Revolution job on her own. We see candids of all these girls all the time, yet we only see Whit at PR's office when there's cameras around. On other days, she's out getting her nails done and shopping in the middle of a week day. Shouldn't a full time employee of Kelly Cutrone's be at work actually working her *** off?

That's why I think that the NY socialites that they picked to befriend Whitney will totally outshine her. She seems nice, but very boring.

^^^ Agree totally with both you ladies. Whitney is very pretty and seems quite nice but she has managed to get all the perks on being on The Hills ... yet contributing a lot less than the other girls. We know very little about her life. Whereas, all the other girls have allowed us to some extent on their relationships... which makes the show interesting. Lets face it Brody and Lauren, Justin Bobby and Audrina and Speidi make up the bulk of the storylines for the season.

I always found it incredulous that people see Whit as this hard working fashion orientated person. She is not... she got her jobs are PR and now DVF just like Lauren because of MTV. No she does not really work at PR or DVF... these companies are into product placement which is something The Hills has pioneered in tv.

Lauren also sounds a bit smarter than her at times

I think it is a good idea that MTV chosed her because she is the least exposed and well liked after Lauren. They are going to surround her with a group of NY socialites to make the show more interesting. I am very curious to see how it fares because one of the reason The Hills worked is because of the chemistry that existed between Lauren and Heidi (not MTV forced) and their respective bfs (also not MTV) on the 1st season. Therefore, making the second season more poignant with the fall of the friendship. It also gave time for genuine chemistry to develop between Lauren and Audrina and of course Lauren and Whitney.

It would be better to cast 1 or 2 of Whitney's real friends on her show... making it a bit more genuine and less force.

September 7, 2008 -- "THE Hills" may be about to spawn. Spies say scenes for an upcoming pilot of a spinoff called "The City" were shot at the Meatpacking District eatery Nero Wednesday night. "The central character will be up- and-coming artist Jay Lyon, who was featured in an epi sode of 'The Hills' with Whit ney Port," one insider tells us. "When they worked together, they hit it off and started dat ing." During the shoot, MTV cameras captured the lovebirds having an intimate dinner and sharing an earnest conversation.

I'm sorry, but I find Stephanie to be such an instigator. She wanted to be the center of attention and ensure that she gets screen time so she starts crap with Brody and when he does answer her truthfully, down come those crocodile tears. Even her brother said that Stephanie is really good at making herself cry.

Spencer and Heidi are just really bad actors. You know they have no drama with her sister. We see candids of them and her sister and Joe Francis acting like one big happy family all the time. Spencer and Heidi needed a storyline and Heidi's awfully boring sister wanted her 15 minutes of fame as well.
