I can't think of more intriguing duo than these two in recent music history. Not even Jack & Meg compare (and there was a different, more cynical level of deceit involved there).
Alison is subtlely influencing so many microtrends while retaining her own identity. I love that. It's the way fashion icons used to develop their cachet - discreetly.
I saw them play in Auckland about two to three years ago? I've never seen a band quite like them before, the energy, sexuality and sheer physicality of their performance... phew!
