The Lips thread, all you need to ask and know...

Looking for a lipgloss...

I've been looking for some time for a lipgloss like in the one used by the models in the picture...light pink and opaque, but I end up just finding them too sheer or sparkly...can anyone help?

Thanks! :flower:

I've never been able to find anything like that without lookin aneamic, it always looks to me like they put a beige kinda base on first...and then a clear-ish gloss over the top...just a guess :flower:

MAC fashionspread lipglass is identical.
but it's discontinued
i'd recommend MAC underage lipglass
i agree with fab fifites fille
you can get a similar look by applying concealer onto well moisturised lips
& then applying a peachy pink gloss. :flower:

Thank you for the suggestions! ;)
I've tried that, applying lipstick and the gloss over, but i was just wondering if there was an opaque gloss...something with a texture like nail varnish, i can't explain it very well!

What I always do is put a hint of concealer on my lips (after applying a chap stick), rubbing it in, and then applying a coat of gloss after. Gives my lips a skin-ish color that I always, always use.

Smashbox Pixel is a pink-based nude. NARS Turkish Delight is pretty, but on the pinkish side.

a friend of mine models and she had to get her lips done that way too. i asked her about it because i love that look and she said that they just put a concealer that was a few shades lighter than her skin tone and then they put a really light pink gloss over it. The one that I have is NARS, I'll check on the name of it later.

Also, if you dont want concealer on your lips, MAC has a shade called Florabundance that I used to use that has a similar mat finish that is really pretty. It is kind of pink but it is very pretty on tan skin. The only problem with MAC's lipglass is that they wipe off after a while and create a kind of filmy something on the edge of your lips that isn't so attractive, that's why I stopped using it. It's also very sticky.

That's my two cents lol.

Also, lol I remembered something.

That ad looks to me like it was Prada, yes? If it was, they do some serious lighting changes in all Prada ads so the way that those models look might not be the way that they look in regular light, they change it after the picture is taken to make the models look softer and the fashion pop.

I often tried to pull off that look, it's nice for a while, but when the gloss dries up, I end up looking  !!!!! So it's better to use a gloss that color if you can find it, instead of putting foundation or concealer under the gloss.

I found a lovely nude sort of gloss once, bought one tube, now they don't sell it anymore! :censored:

Okay, this is the thread I need to "live in" for a while!    I have EXTREMELY senstive lips and if I don't use a chapstick or something that has spf in it...they WILL BURN!!!! Any recommendations? I have use Blistex with SPF 20 in it...it doesn't work. I also got a recommendation for Shisedo (sp?).

Your Thoughts, Recommendations, Suggestions, Constructive Criticism will be most appreciated. :flower:

If you are lucky clueless it might not be discontinued in other countries..have you tried looking for it on-line ? :flower:

You could always go for cosmetic surgery? It's the only thing that will permanently plump out your lips!

Somethin I've noticed...

After a good night of lovin ;) , the next day, my lips always appear more full than they were, say, the day before I had my lovin...so its from all the kissing, and all the blood rushing to my lips right?

So now, every morning, I just rub my lips alot, either with my fingers, or gently with a toothbrush...works without fail, and I've had nothing but plump lips every day, ever since. :p

Benefit makes some sort of plumper too - really I think its just a heavy concealer that fills in all the lips lines, thus making them appear fuller - this works though.

I knew that too, if you do brush your lips they do become fuller;)

How do you make your lips look less full...I hate my full lips
