Do you know any GOOD tutorial to get started with MAC pigments? I want to start wearing them but don't know how to apply...:(

anyone have the creme brilliance gloss? where/how do you use it?
i wanted the glossy eye look, but it just creases and messes around the eye area.
any tips and advice? =)

i'd be interested in this as well... my sister just gave me the cool pigment set from the holiday collection. they're all really beautiful but i don't think i have the hang of it just yet.

personally i take the cap and use a brush or my little finger and pick up some pigment (on the cap you'll have more than enough) and tap to lose any excess, then just paint on. any loose flakes wipe off so it doesn't smudge. that works perfectly for me with the fuscia one. make sense?

is that the same as the creme colour base? i have the black and it's very glossy. and creases and smudges! i apply with a paintbrush (just a daler rowney one) for accuracy, then spray with hairspray to fix it

My tip would be to apply pigments wet, applying pigments dry can be bit messy as they're loose powder. I also think there's a big difference with end result, the colour is more intense when I use them wet.

has anyone found that although they advise to add water for more intense colour, it does something funny to their pressed eyeshadows?? i love the effect it gives but it's just irritating. i might try it out on the pigments though

^ Does it go hard? If so, you could try scraping off the hard surface with a pin or something like that. The eyeshadow underneath should be fine.

Thanks for all the advices. Actually, I've been collecting info. from some websites and nearly know how to use everything from MAC perfectly :p now. I mean, I know the theory but I've to try to practice.

Question: which base do you prefer before applying eyeshadows/shadesticks/pigments...? Prep+prime?

it's this one, on the site it's called clear gloss. on my tube it's called gloss creme brilliance. it's probably the same. but i don't think we're talking about the same product here. you use hairspray on your face?

ahhhh i thought you meant like the glossy creme colours. i got the black one cause it's glossy, whereas all the paints, pigments and paint sticks were very matte

haha hairspray can be used as a makeup fixative, but is considerably cheaper (like how if you actually buy artists fixative for charcoal when it's exactly the same as sainsburys economy hairspray...). if it irritated your face then you wouldn't be able to spray your hair with it (but i'd advise not using sainsburys economy for it...) and it stops your makeup smudging or coming off

know tons of people who use it. i guess if you have really sensitive skin i wouldn't and try a patch first, but a ****** friend taught me it and i swear by it if you're going to spend the night dancing in a sweaty club!!
