The Mascara Thread

^ I actually like Max Factor's Falshe Lash Effect quite a lot, it comes pretty close to my Dior-Chanel-Lancome mascaras.

I'm obsessed with mascara too, I have always been, but I've realized that there is probably no such thing as a "perfect mascara", ie a mascara who does it all: curl, volume, length, separation.. I normally use 2-3 different mascaras together to get va-va-voom lashes.

I am also obsessed about mascaras. and always looking for a perfect one. Not yet found one. Only good ones.
Top 3 now are(they do change often)

ysl singulier
rimmel max volume
dior iconic or armani eyes to kill..
:innocent:

can anyone identify this brand of mascara please?
i got it in LA at a pro make up place...
but the name's all rubbed off now and i need to replace it...
i'm pretty sure the first letter is N...

the brush is tilted and it works wonders...

thanks in advance for any help...!!!...

^That would have been my guess as well.

My top three is:

Paul & Joe Mascara Duo
Jelly Pong Pong "Fairy Lashes"
Elizabeth Arden "Double Density" Mascara

omg- that's it!

you guys are awesome!!!
thank you SO much...

Does anyone know if there's a under-$10 mascara similar to Estee Lauder Sumptuous? It's a great mascara but I just can't afford to drop $20 on something that I toss every few months. My poor little sample of it is almost run out.

Rimmel is amazing, especially Great Lash. it's so easy to use and it looks like a department store mascara.

I've finally found my HG mascara. It's Pupa Diva Lashes. It's an Italian brand sold in select stores in North America. It curls, defines, and gives volume and shade no 1 is PITCH black. This is the ONLY mascara that gives me the false lash look without clumping or smearing. 1 coat gives luxurious defined long curled lashes, and 3 coats gives the no clump perfectly curled false lash look. I no longer need to use Latisse. (please not the effect is better when I use my Diorshow Maximizer as a base). :flower:

I've tried the following before:
-Diorshow, too much smearing
-L'Oreal Voluminous, too much clumping and smearing
-YSL Volume Effets Faux Cils, no curl and easy smearing

^ oohh good rec Kimkhu! We have Pupa here in Australia too and its very well priced!

I've tried the same as you but i dont mind a little clumping to be honest but if i can find one that does it all without im sold!

Will defs check it out :)

Please try it and let us know how it worked out for you! I am SO impressed with this mascara and will never ever ever try new mascaras coming out claiming to offer the same result. This is the ONLY mascara that truly captures a false lash look. Beautiful, clean and dramatic.:heart::heart:

Where can you find PUPA? SEPHORA´S?? I wanna try that!

Hmm I live in Montreal where it's only sold in Jean Coutu. I recommend you try emailing Pupa directly through their website to see where it would be sold in USA.

But honestly if you can find it, it's so worth it. By the way I just checked and Makeupalley rated that mascara a whopping 4.9/5!!!!:heart:

Well i didnt get to purchase the PUPA today, my local drugstore was sold out...so i caved and got a bourjois mascara instead because im scraping the barrell here!

Theyre going to call me as soon as it comes in..cant wait!

Dior Iconic. Curls lengthen separates and darkens my skimpy lashes and doesnt crumble flake or smear!

I read about this on vogue.fr and went and got it at sephora. gives me twiggy eyes every time, I may even like it more than inimitable!

but even the regular formula is as difficult to get off as waterproof. I always smudge some on my lids when I put mascara on, so it's b*tch that I can't just get it off with water, I have to go get a remover

Went to sephora today to pick up a free iphone case and came home with the givenchy phenomen'eyes effet extension. I was having a hard time deciding between this and the new stila mascara, but ended up with the givenchy 'cause it came with a free eyeliner. Has anyone else tried the new stila? If so, what's your opinion on it?

I got Chanel's Inimitable Intense awhile ago and I'm loving it! Separates nicely but still gives great volume.

I've tried most Chanel mascaras, as well as Clinique and Estee, nothing is better than YSL Faux Cils!
I still have to give a chance to Dior mascaras though, I hear very good things and I've only tried Diorshow briefly in the past.

Oh my god, has anyone else tried Diorshow 360?? I thought at first it was just a gimmick, as i'd tried the whole vibrating mascara thing and found it totally useless. However, the oscillation, plus the formula of diorshow, it's just INCREDIBLE. I highly recommend it. My lashes are curly, separated and black as black can be. Amazing.
