The Mascara Thread

I've heard rave reviews on Diorshow. My Long'optic is currently in transit to my house.

Perhaps you should check our COUNTLESS mascara threads for more info.

sometimes just on top, sometimes on top and bottom....depends on my make up. when I use kajal or eyeshadow on the buttom I use mascara there too!

almost always top AND bottom, although my bottom lashes are really long so if i get too much on it looks funny...

i guess it all depends on the look i'm going for, but just about always top and bottom. yeah, like i said. . .

Okay, I tried a new one.

Christian Dior Long'optic

At first, I had to wonder: is there even any product ON the wand? But there is. Long'optic is a very versatile mascara because you just keep brushing until you reach the desired effect, whether it be casual or extreme. No worries about clumping - you couldn't get it to stick together and clump if you tried. Not an extremely wet formula, thank gosh, because I hate those. Very dramatic look. This mascara has a kind of "built in eyeliner" for your lids, because some of it gets on the part of your lid where the eyelashes are. It's not a "whoops" effect, but rather a very natural liner look. This is great if you go for a romantic or smoky eyed look. Otherwise, it's not.

I would definitely recommend this product, though... Easy to use and control the look. My only complaint is the smudging.

For about 3 months I was getting a really bad eye irritation on and off, and eventually, the only thing I could pinpoint this infection to, was Maybelline Great Lash!

Therefore, every product contains ingredients which may affect an individual.

I'm still looking for a great mascara, the best I've tried was MAC ProLonglash, but I'm definitely keen to try YSL Faux Cils now.

I used to read articles saying not to wear mascara on the lower lashes, but eventually, and thanks largely to Kevyn Aucoin, I realised beauty laws were ridiculous - mascara on the lower lashes defines the whole eye in my opinion, I always wear it.

Kiss Me Mascara from Japan. B/c it forms tubes around your lashes and b/c you don't 'paint' it on, it doesn't smudge, and you can build length or volume to what amount you desire. Great for sensitive eyes or contact lenses wearers (like myself) b/c it doesn't flake.

I have an YSL! But I don't think it is good when you have allergy at some.

just on top for a lighter, more fresh look (plus i avoid smudging)

depends what i'm wearing and where i'm going ...usually just the top for daytime casual weekend looks...

ALWAYS top and bottom in the evening...especially since it's the only make up i wear with bluch and gloss...

I'm trying Diorshow.... I've been hearing great things. From you and others :)

Is it EXTREME drama, or just slight drama?

probably just an old tube of mascara that got contaminated...always chuck a mascara if your eye is irritated...but it's unlikely that it's the brand...

That's usually all I wear, softgrey. Anyway, I do not wear mascara on the bottom because I always end up with smudges and eye infections. So, only on the top for me.
