i rotate YSL effet faux cils (non waterproof) with hypnose, YSL for winter and heavier makeup and hypnose for day wear.
YSL effet faux cils is by far the best heavy duty volumising mascara i tried (my lashes are sufficiently long and curved but light and sparse) - one caveat though:the waterproof variant irritated my eyes and seemed to add less volume than the non waterproof one.
strong colour, strong perfume as well (pleasant imo), great brush and unsurpassed volume without clumping or spider lashes.
the only thing i can't rave about is the price tag

can anyone please recomend a thick clumpy mascara ?
I keep going back and forth trying new mascaras and so far absolutely nothing has compared with Diorshow. I love the look of very thick long lashes and nothing seems to beat it. Case in point I just tried the Armani Maestro mascara wich is great but its just not the same. I keep buying mascaras and nothing has come close though Lancome's Hypnose and Revlon's 3D extreme (very good drug store find only $8 but gives very thick lashes - just be sure to clear the excess product off with a tissue before using) are also quite good.
No matter what I try though I always wind up back at square one with Diorshow.

What do you think of Lancome's Hypnose?
Do you recommend that one?

i pretty much never wear makeup besides chapstick if you even count that as makeup at all but i went to the nars counter yesterday at nordstrom and the lady was telling me how i should wear black mascara (for some reasons because i have brown hair, i always thought i should wear brown). so anyways, i got covergirl lash exact in very black today cause i wanted something cheap... has anyone had a good experience using it?
