The Mascara Thread

I've been using the Chanel Inimitable mascara for a while now and I'm really pleased with it. While it gives my lashes some volume, it also lenghtens them extremely well and seperates them. My eyes are actually noticeable when I use it (I must add that my lashes are pretty thin and short).
Too bad it was just a sample sized tube and I just bought a tube of Clinique's Pretty Long Lashes mascara (haven't used it yet, though).

Diorshow oh my gosh I love it but you think you have it all off and then you come out of the shower looking like a panda !

^ so true

I struggle when I wash my face cause i feel my undereyes end up soo beat up after I scrub even with the eau magique cleanser!

I just got the new Diorshow blackout, its a bit different than the regular show, probably because it makes the lashes look shiny, therefore, darker.

I currently use clinique primer and Lancome L'extreme. I've been experimenting with mascara for a while. I've tried Dior Show, which is nice, but clumps too easily, weighs down my thin Asian lashes, and gets everywhere. I use it once in a while.
I really, really love L'extreme, though. I just got it in a GWP, and I bought it afterwards. Sometimes I'll put a coat of Clinique mascara on top. I've been getting a lot of positive comments on my eye makeup since I've started using L'extreme so... I'm sticking with it.

Has anyone tried both Lancome Fatale and L'Extreme? There is a Fatale Brillant on Sephora and I would like to try it.

Okay- I thought L'Extreme was a volumizing mascara but I just read it lengthens. I would like one of those, but I'm going to try Loreal Telescopic since I've heard only great things.

So what is the vote between Fatale and Hypnose? I want very noticeable lashes.

I want to buy a new mascara, as my Inimitable sample has finished :(

My eyelashes are very long (makeup artists are always amazed by them) and don't really need to curl them so I guess that what I need is volume. I've been thinking about buying YSL Faux Cils or something by Lancôme (I've used Diorshow, but I want more separated lashes, it was too clumpy for me). Which one would be better for me?

I have been using hypnose and l'extreme. I have relatively long lashes but I could do with a little more volume, so what i have noticed on my lashes is that l'extreme makes them really long and noticeable and with the hypnose one i get very thick lashes which are once again noticeable. So its basically l'extreme for length and hypnose for volume, u decide which one will suit you since both of them will give u noticeable lashes, at least that was my case. :flower:

Hi guys.

I hope you can recommend the perfect mascara for me :flower: I have very long, very straight lashes - When I curl them, they look amazing (Almost fake, lol) so I basically need a mascara that gives me a bit of volume and most importantly: a mascara that holds the curl! Most mascaras I've tried are to "heavy" and make my lashes go all straight again. I've been using defincils from Lancome for a while and was pretty pleased with it, but it wasn't perfect. Any suggestions?

i usually dont use mascara, but i kind of would like to try it again, but i have a question:
i heard that if you dont use primer before your mascara, your lashes fall out in five days. i know that sounds a bit odd, so im just wondering..

i'm guilty of using an eyelash curler before AND after applying mascara.... now i'm afraid because of all i bad things i hear about it. what should i do instead that will have the same effect?

had anyone tried Big Fatty by Urban Decay?
it sounds/looks lovely and i always thought (even though i dont use mascara anymore) that the thick bristle brushes give the most thickening dramatic affects.
