The Mascara Thread

I've tried ysl faux cils and it was good but doesnt thicken enough. It really lengthens so the lashes look kind of wirey, too long and thin. Badgal I find doesnt thicken enough. I accidently purchased the dior curl and lengthen mascara instead of diorshow and I found it to be similar to ysl in that the lashes were too long for their thickness.

I lost my second key to my car at a park about a month ago and had to have it towed to the dealership so they can make a new key, I didnt have my car for a week and my makeup bag was in my car. My brother came to the rescue and his fiance loaned me some makeup. She gave me her stila major lash mascara which I was surprised how much I liked. It's very gel-like and not gritty at all. I love diorshow for evening but stila is great for day, and the smaller brush makes it possible to do lower lashes. I went back to get another and saw their "multi effect" next to it. I decided to get both to see which is better and I still really like the major lash mascara for day.

My favorite is Chanel's Inimitable! I love that the brush is small because I can do those little lashes and the bottom ones.
I tried Diorshow a while ago in one of those little sample tubes and I don't think I liked it very much I might try it again though because of the great reviews!

I've tried and hated Chanel Inimitable! I'm just glad that I got it free with a magazine. I found it near impossible to apply with that stupid brush! My current favourite (and I think its here to stay) is Virtuose by Lancome. Normally long-wear mascaras seem kinda dry and brittle on me, but Virtuose just looks like soft, nourished, beautiful lashes. And it doesn't smudge! Even when I sleep in it! No other mascara has made my lashes so thick, either

Smashbox That's A Wrap Mascara is awesome. Too bad it's going to be discontinued. :( (at least I THINK that's gonna happen?)

I LOVED that mascara too. Thats so disappointing. My recent purchase of mascara was a cheap one... Max Factor Vivid highlighting dual mascara in the 24 karat color. Its kind of fun. I think I want to try another color a little crazier this time & Id also like to find a good electric blue mascara.

i bought the new cargo blu_ray today. i was searching for something new at sephora and the SA told me about the cargo blu_ray and at first i was skeptical because i'm not familiar with the comb head, but after trying it on, i just fell in love. has anyone use this? what do you think about it?

i found out that rubber brush doesnt work on everyone. i tried telescopic in carbon black, lash is longer but i dont like how it look and the formula is bizarrely runny. i return the mascara.

btw any in taiwan in japan tried volume express hypercurl? any comments on that?

Oh my gosh! Ready for the shock of the lifetime!? I got a free tube of Avon's washable waterproof mascara and it is the BEST mascara ever!! The brush is full and my lashes are lusher than ever. You have to try it!

I am currently using Estee Lauder Projectionist and I am very satisfied with it but I am adventurous when it comes to mascara so I bought today Lancome Flextencils.

What about Shu Uemura ones? I'm thinking of one of them as my next buy, but I'm a bit scared of waterproof mascaras.

I just bought Lash Blast today...and it was amazing!!

I didn't want to like it since it seems like everyone was going on and on about it, that I thought it had be crap. So since I've lost my mascara somewhere I decided to buy it just to try it. I don't what the difference is; I've used Diorshow, Maybelline, and L'Oreal Voluminous, and liked the Diorshow best. But it never gave me the results of the Lash Blast. Oh well, I feel sheepish but I've succumbed to the Lash Blast.

Gonna be buying the Lancome Hypnose kit...... Hope it's as good as the reviews..

I'm so disappointed in Stretch&Define by Jade...
the gum brush does nothing for my lashes but create horrible deformed clumps, thus no volume whatsoever...

the mascara itself seems to be pretty ok though so I'm using it with my Nivea Lash Revolution brush.

I have really light, fine lashes that don't curl naturally, so mascara's always a toughie for me. I tried the new Smashbox Bionic, and while the formula is super creamy, it seemed to weigh my lashes down more than lift them up like it's supposed to...

I'm a big fan of DiorShow - I use a shu uemera curler, then a couple layers of the waterproof formula, and then I actually look like I have eyelashes! Dropped by Sehpora yesterday to restock, but ended up getting DiorShow Blackout just to see what it's like, and it's amazing - looks like I'm wearing falsies. :)

I just bought Diorshow and really like it. I have discovered that the lash primer makes a BIG difference. I read great reviews on the Shiseido lash primper over at Makeupalley, so I use that along with my Shue Umera curler. And sometimes I will use one coat of Dior then another of CoverGirl lashblast and layer them. I swear the primer helps so much. I can see a big difference when just using Diorshow by itself vs over the primer.

I wasn't so impressed by Diorshow Blackout. It added volume and a bit of length, but the brush was unusually large and quite tricky to use for me. :(
