The Most You've Ever Spent On A Single Item?

If our planet ONLY contained tFSers, I'd be the cheapest person on the planet. I can understand and love lots of expensive stuff, but I'd never spend over 500$ for a piece of clothing........

Self esteem issues. If you can't get the "approval" of those around you in real life, you can always search for it on the internet. :innocent:

The internet: a place where the poor can be rich, men can be women, the old can be young.... And few would know the difference.

Yeah, i think the same about internet....but i don't say she plays rich girl here...it would be rude from me to say this without know her better. :(
If she really plays maybe she wanna be famous and popular on tfs. Money talk.. :innocent:

No, you wouldn't be the cheapest. You'd be in good company. There are a lot of us thrifty folk hiding in the shadows around here!

No offence, but would she really have the time to reply to a newbie asking a simple if not childish question, when the regulars have all in turn asked her the same sort of question in the past?

I'm not saying this because your new, its just that this has all been said and done, youre a bit late to jump on the chanel_girl bandwagon.

i think we all know the answer already anyway...don't we... ^_^

well, she DOES seem to find lots of time to post what she wears each day... usually outfits totaling, at minimum, $3000, i'd say. and since she never repeats clothes, and let's say works 4 days a week, that's $12,000 per week, or $624,000 per year spent on clothes.. and that's not even counting the $24K couture pieces.

i just find it hard to belive that someone with that money and that wardrobe would feel the need to post what seh wears every day on some online forum... and NOT have a digital camera...

I would only pay ridiculous amounts on handbags (basically Balenciaga)-other than that I just can't spend as much as I would on a handbag on clothes.I would feel so guilty that I would return it the next day.I would never buy a "seasonal" handbag either, although Chloe one's are seriously tempting.I'll definitely spend more on jeans because they will never date and you can wear them all day, every day. But I love the fact I'm from London and we have Topshop-Topshop is an absolute life-saver. It depends on how you wear it, but it always looks really good. I've been buying a lot from H&M recently.I definitely got that whole dress-style from my mum-she'll only spend that much on handbags (and her saris, but they're handmade, beaded and everything, so they're worth it) I don't think you should ever wear a designer look head to toe. I love my le dix, but I also love this brown leather cross-body bag, one of those vintage satchel things, that I got from a thrift store for £2!

Around 1200€ for a Dolce&Gabbana male suit.

about the Chanel_girl with the Dior couture dress... why should her HAVE to prove you anything? I think it's very childish to ask... and by the way in the world there MUST be someone who buys those dress, or they would quit making them... right right?

Prada jacket from winter '03-'04- $1700
Balenciaga bag-$950
LV bags
And I've exceed $500 on numerous pairs of shoes

my most expensive thng i ever bought would probably my prom suit...It was a YSl suit but it only cost me £150. bloody bargain i must say! lol  (it was the single breasted type of this suit)

Yah to be honest, I’d think it more peculiar for someone with no other use for a digital camera, to buy one to prove themselves to some strangers. That is the person who feels the need be popular online. That is the person I’m not sure I’d like to meet.

Besides, I could see more pleasure in pretending online... than in accusing online...

Right on, strawberry :punk: :winkiss:

I got sucked into the Chloe 'horses' collection and ended up buying the top with the sequined horses on the shoulders. It cost me $500 at a consignment shop. After I got it I wore it once. Now I hate it and am trying to sell it.
